Donald Trump: I’m Better For Gays Than Hillary

Clearly delusional, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump “thanked” the LGBT community for something, no one really knows.

He went on to say he would be better than Democrat Hillary Clinton for LGBT rights saying she would “threaten your freedoms and beliefs.”

All while filling his Twitter page with rainbow balloons…

Trump has said in the past that he opposes marriage equality and if elected president (oh my sides) would nominate SCOTUS justices who would overturn the Obergefell ruling.

He’s also flip-flopped on transgender rights saying at one point recently he supported trans rights then the next day saying “it should be left to the states.”

You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Donald Trump Gets Backlash On “Congrats” Tweet

Republican presidential candidate was the recipient of backlash today on Twitter when he apparently took time for a humble brag about “being right” about something.

Twitter didn’t take to his insensitivity.

Hillary Slaps Back At Twitter Troll Trump

Miss Hillary is not going to be his whipping girl. Suh-nap!

The Twitterverse was thrilled:

Hillary Clinton Campaign Launches “RepublicansAgainstTrump.org”

Fresh off of being named the Democratic presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has launched a new website aimed at courting disaffected GOP voters.

Via Politico:

The website, republicansagainsttrump.org, was registered on May 27 and launched on June 2, according to domain registration records. The Clinton campaign only appears to have begun buying ads to promote the site more recently.

The ads promise potential supporters a “free ‘Republicans Against Trump’ sticker” if you pledge to oppose Trump in the fall.

“Donald Trump is not qualified to be president. He does not represent my beliefs as a Republican and, more importantly, my values as an American. He does not speak for me and I will not vote for him,” reads the pledge.

The small print, if a visitor scrolls to the bottom of the page, reads: “Paid for by Hillary for America.”

Donald Trump: My Comments About Judge’s Mexican Heritage Were “Misconstrued”

According to MSNBC, Donald Trump now says his comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s Mexican heritage were “misconstrued.”

In a written statement released by email, Trump defended Trump University and highlighted thousands of positive reviews of the school from former students, while also calling it “unfortunate” that his “comments have been misconstrued as a categorical attack against people of Mexican heritage.”

“I do not feel that one’s heritage makes them incapable of being impartial, but, based on the rulings that I have received in the Trump University civil case, I feel justified in questioning whether I am receiving a fair trial,” Trump wrote.

Meryl Streep Does Donald Trump Drag

Meryl Streep proved she can play any role – ANY – by appearing last night in Donald Trump drag.

From the New York Daily News:

The award-winning actress, 66, bellowed an inspired twist on Cole Porter’s “Brush Up Your Shakespeare” as the presumed Republican presidential nominee during the Public Theater’s 2016 Gala finale.

She fashioned her hair after Trump and let her bold red tie hang low while joining Tony-winner Christine Baranski on stage at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park for a duet from the musical “Kiss Me Kate.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham Urges Republicans To Rescind Their Endorsements Of Trump

While not one prominent Republican has stepped up to defend Donald Trump’s racist “Mexican judge” attacks on Judge Curiel, Sen. Lindsey Graham has had enough.

Graham has withdrawn his endorsement of the Trumpster and is urging other Republicans to do the same:

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, another former primary rival of Mr. Trump’s, urged Republicans who have backed Mr. Trump to rescind their endorsements, citing the remarks about Judge Curiel and Mr. Trump’s expression of doubt on Sunday that a Muslim judge could remain neutral in the same lawsuit, given Mr. Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim noncitizens entering the country.

“This is the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy,” Mr. Graham said. “If anybody was looking for an off-ramp, this is probably it,” he added. “There’ll come a time when the love of country will trump hatred of Hillary.”

Texas Congressman To Trump: “Take Your Border Wall And Shove It Up Your Ass”

From Talking Points Memo:

A Democratic congressman from Texas derided presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump as “a racist” and slammed the businessman for his attacks on “Mexican” U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in a scathing open letter on Monday.

“Mr. Trump, you’re a racist and you can take your border wall and shove it up your ass,” U.S. Rep. Filemon Vela (D-TX) wrote, as quoted by the Texas Tribune.

“Before you dismiss me as just another ‘Mexican,’ let me point out that my great-great-grandfather came to this country in 1857, well before your own grandfather,” he continued. “His grandchildren (my grandfather and his brothers) all served our country in World War I and World War II. His great-grandson, my father, served in the U.S. Army and, coincidentally, was one of the first ‘Mexican’ federal judges ever appointed to the federal bench.”

Vela noted that he supports some of Trump’s politics, including prioritizing care for veterans and deporting felons who are in the country illegally. But he wrote that “any modern-thinking person” would think building a wall at the U.S. border with Mexico is “frankly astounding and asinine.”
