Trump Says “Ask The Gays” Which Candidate Will Be Better For Them And “The Gays” Respond

What can you say to this latest misstep by GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump except #EpicFail?

Clip description:

The latest in a never ending slew of classic Trump responses, this time, an appalling comment surrounding homosexuality in Saudi Arabia.

Trump said, “Ask the gays what they think and what they do, in, not only Saudi Arabia, but many of these countries, and then you tell me who’s your friend, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?”

The fact that Trump is reportedly making potential business deals in Saudi Arabia sent “The gays,” as Trump so lovingly refers to LGTBQ Americans, quickly to Twitter making it very, very clear that Trump is no friend of theirs.

As you can imagine, “the gays” went on a Twitter spree mocking the Orange One to hilarious results.

Donald Trump’s Unfavorability Hits Highest Level Since Announcing Candidacy For President

From CNN:

Donald Trump’s unfavorability level is at 70%, the highest since announcing his presidential campaign, according to a new poll out Tuesday.

According to the new Washington Post/ABC News survey, 7 out of 10 American adults have an unfavorable opinion of the Republican presumptive presidential nominee. That’s a significant reversal from a few weeks ago when Trump’s polling seemed to be trending upward.

Just 29% reported having a favorable opinion of Trump in the new poll.

Among Hispanic respondents, that number is 89% unfavorable.

In related news, Hillary Clinton has surged to a 12 point lead over Trump in the latest Bloomberg Politics poll.

First Post-Orlando Poll Shows Hillary Clinton Leads Donald Trump By +12

Via Bloomberg:

A new Bloomberg Politics national poll shows Clinton leading Trump 49 percent to 37 percent among likely voters in November’s election, with 55 percent of those polled saying they could never vote for the real-estate developer and TV personality.

Most national polls in late May and early June showed a closer race, but they were taken before criticism intensified of Trump’s charge that a U.S. judge overseeing fraud cases against Trump University is biased because of the judge’s Mexican heritage. Fifty-five percent of likely voters in the new poll said they were very bothered by those comments.

“Clinton has a number of advantages in this poll, in addition to her lead,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, who oversaw the survey. “Her supporters are more enthusiastic than Trump’s and more voters overall see her becoming a more appealing candidate than say that for Trump.”

Dan Savage: “Donald Trump Is The Enemy Of The LGBT Community”

During an appearance on MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes last night, LGBT activist/columnist Dan Savage was asked about GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s claim that he is an ally of the LGBT community:

“We’re not going to fall for it. And you can’t draw a clean line between the LGBT community and the Muslim community because there are LGBT Muslims in the United States and all over the world. Muslims are a part of the LGBT community, not distinct from it.

“LGBT people come from all races, all faiths, all ethnic backgrounds, all classes. And Donald Trump attempting to pit the queer community against the Muslim community is not going to fly. We don’t believe him.

“Donald Trump has pledged to undo marriage equality. Donald Trump is the enemy of the LGBT community just as he is the enemy of the Muslim community. And beating up on what is, in the United States, a vulnerable minority group isn’t the way that you impress other members of other vulnerable minority groups to win their support.”

Savage also weighed in on the possibility that the Orlando shooter might have been gay:

“Self-loathing violent closet case and radicalized religious extremist are not mutually exclusive categories. There are a lot of self-loathing queer people out there. Most of them are self-loathing because of religion, because of the zap religion put on their heads. So he could be both of those things.”
