Trump Tangles With Twitter Over TIME Magazine’s “Man Of The Year”

Friday evening, Donald Trump stirred the Twitter pot by announcing “Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!”

Of all things, TIME Magazine trolled back saying that’s not how it works:

Trump Tweets: I’ll Play Golf (Quickly) Before Getting To Work Today

It looks like Donald Trump is getting a bit defensive about the inordinate amount of golf he plays.

In an early morning tweet today, the Donald wrote,”After Turkey call I will be heading over to Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter, to play golf (quickly) with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson. Then back to Mar-a-Lago for talks on bringing even more jobs and companies back to the USA!”

Today is the third day in row that Trump has spent on the golf course and his 101st at a Trump property since taking office.

You’ll note that Trump also gets a mention in for his golf club there.

As I’ve said many times before, I have no problem with a president playing golf.

But Trump was extremely critical of Barack Obama for playing golf during his administration. He also made a point to say there would “be no time for golf” during his time in the White House as he would be so busy fixing the country.

All of that makes him fair game to note his current golf activities.

On The Anniversary Of The Assassination Of President Kennedy

Above is a transcript of the personal note Richard Nixon hand wrote to Jackie Kennedy following the shooting death of President John F. Kennedy.

As you’ll recall, Nixon had been Kennedy’s opponent in the presidential campaign that elected Kennedy.

On this anniversary of the shooting death of Kennedy, president of the nation Donald Trump didn’t even bother to tweet (his favored modus operandi) a remembrance of the date.

In that the Donald is often compared to Nixon today, can you imagine Trump finding such eloquent words to write himself?

Trump Announces Full Day Of “Meetings And Working The Phones;” Soon After Arrives At Trump Golf Course

Donald Trump hates for people to think he plays golf instead of working as our president.

The fact of the matter is Trump has now spent 77 days since taking office playing golf.

Which explains why there was a little waffling on Trump’s schedule for today per the White House.

At 6:51AM, the White House staff told the press pool that this would be a “low-key” day.

But just minutes later, clearly Trump didn’t like the message that sent, the WH staff corrected that statement saying “the press” would have a low-key day, but the Trumpster would have a “full schedule of meetings and phone calls.”

Trump even tweeted it out for the world to see.

But at 9:26AM Trump arrived at Trump International Golf Club in Florida to play golf.

As I’ve said before, I wouldn’t have a problem with a president playing golf occasionally.

But Trump spent much of the past 8 years criticizing President Obama for playing golf EVER.

And, on the campaign trail, Trump often told his followers there wouldn’t be time for golf because he’d be so busy working on behalf of the American people.

Hypocrisy is so confusing, isn’t it?

NY Daily News: Trump’s With Perv

The New York Daily News on Donald Trump’s support for Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore:

Nothing’s worse than a liberal Democrat, according to President Trump — not even an accused sexual molester like Roy Moore.

Trump all but endorsed the Alabama Republican’s Senate bid on Tuesday, as the President made his first direct remarks on the sexual misconduct allegations against Moore that surfaced nearly two weeks ago.

“Roy Moore denies it. That’s all I can say,” Trump told reporters on his way from the White House to his Florida resort for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We don’t need a liberal person in there,” the President said, in a jab at Doug Jones, Moore’s Democratic challenger in the special election Dec. 12 for Alabama’s open Senate seat.

Trump has repeatedly dodged questions about Moore since two women came forward and told the Washington Post he groped and sexually harassed them decades ago when they were in their teens and he was in his 30s.

Donald Trump: Roy Moore Allegations Are From A Long Time Ago

Finally addressing the ongoing sexual misconduct allegations of Alabama Republican Roy Moore, Donald Trump defended Moore’s candidacy by saying “You don’t need someone who’s soft on crime like Doug Jones.”

From CNN:

“We don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat, Jones. I’ve looked at his record. It’s terrible on crime. It’s terrible on the border. It’s terrible on military,” Trump said. “I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody who’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad for the military, bad for the Second Amendment.”

Trump repeatedly emphasized that Jones has denied the allegations brought against him.

Trump declined to say whether he believed Moore’s denials, but when asked he again pointed to the denials.

“Well, he denies. I mean, he denies. I mean, Roy Moore denies it. And by the way, it is a total denial. And I do have to say 40 years is a long time. He’s run eight races and this has never come up. Forty years is a long time,” Trump said, pointing to the amount of time that has passed since the alleged behavior.

It’s worth noting that Doug Jones successfully prosecuted two of the four Ku Klux Klan members responsible for the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing that killed four African-American girls during church service in September 1963.

Not very “soft on crime” in my book.

North Korea Calls Trump “Old Lunatic,” “Depraved,” And “Stupid;” Trump Retaliates By Placing NK On List Of State Sponsors Of Terrorism

On Sunday, North Korea’s state-run Minju Joson newspaper issued a scathing commentary on Donald Trump saying, in part, “A load of rubbish spouted by the old lunatic Trump during his recent visit to South Korea was a total of all nonsense and paradox so far.”

The editorial went on to state that the U.S. would regret “letting such a depraved and stupid guy occupy the Oval Office.”

In retaliation, Donald Trump announced today he has placed North Korea back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

From CNN:

Trump announced the move Monday during a public meeting with his Cabinet at the White House and said the Treasury Department will announce new sanctions against North Korea on Tuesday.

“Today the United States is designating the North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism. Should have happened a long time ago. Should have happened years ago,” Trump said.

North Korea was removed from the list by President George W. Bush in 2008.

Trump said that North Korea has “repeatedly” sponsored acts of terrorism, including “assassinations on foreign soil.”

“This designation will impose further sanctions and penalties on North Korea … and supports our maximum pressure campaign to isolate the murderous regime,” Trump said.

Trump: I Should Have Left UCLA Basketball Players In Chinese Prison For Not Being Grateful Enough

Donald Trump is now miffed he isn’t getting the gratitude he feels he deserves from LaVar Ball, the father of UCLA basketball player LiAngelo Ball, one of three athletes released last week by the Chinese government after being jailed for shoplifting in the country.

Trump reportedly reached out on the three students behalf after they were accused of shoplifting a pair of high-end sunglasses while in China.

Before the students could even make a statement upon returning to the U.S., Trump wondered on Twitter if the players would thank him for helping them.

The three players did thank Trump by name at a press conference earlier this week.

But today, Trump is mad the father of one of the players isn’t properly grateful. In fact, Trump is so mad, he says he should have left the three Americans in jail in Chine.

Tweeted Trump: “Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!”
