Wife Of Charged Minneapolis Officer Files For Divorce

Kellie Chauvin, the wife of fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, has issued a statement through her attorney that she sends her condolences to the family of George Floyd and she has filed for divorce. “This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin,” the Sekula Law Offices said in a released statement. “While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time,” the statement continued. The announcement spurs several questions. Is Ms. Chauvin leaving her husband because she has an opinion about his actions? Were there previous domestic issues at home? Many commenters on Twitter believe the divorce would be a way to protect the couple’s assets in case he were to be sued in a civil case, which I hadn’t thought of. Things that make you go ‘hmm…’

Everyone pretty much felt Mayor Pete Buttigieg had a very good night. Here’s just a sample:

• Politico: A former top adviser to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told House impeachment investigators on Wednesday that he abruptly resigned last week because of President Donald Trump’s attacks on the ousted U.S. ambassador to Ukraine and the State Department’s unwillingness to protect career diplomats from political pressure, according to two people familiar with the testimony. • People: Arrow star Colton Haynes, 31, and celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, 48, have quietly settled their divorce. In addition to waiving their rights to spousal support and the division of property, the exes have agreed to a non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement. In other words, no ‘tell-all’ memoirs. • The WOW Report: Former The Apprentice staffer Noel Casler shares (among other things), “He’s a speed freak. He crushes up his Adderall and he sniffs it because he can’t read and he gets really nervous when he has to read cue cards. I’m not kidding. This is true.”

Sarah Palin Headed For Divorce Court, Husband Says ‘Impossible To Live Together’

The New York Daily News is reporting Todd Palin has filed for divorce from Sarah Palin, the former half-term Governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate.

Sarah Palin and her husband have reportedly split after more than 30 years together.

The former Alaska governor’s husband, Todd, filed for divorce in Anchorage Superior Court Friday, citing an “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife,” according to the Anchorage Daily News.

Sarah and Todd Palin are reportedly seeking joint legal custody of their child, Trig; their other four children — Bristol, Willow, Piper and Track — are all adults. Sarah Palin served as governor of Alaska from 2006 until her resignation in 2009, during which time she ran an unsuccessful campaign as John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election.

Arrow/Teen Wolf Star Colton Haynes Files For Divorce

TMZ is reporting that Arrow/Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes has filed for divorce in Los Angeles from celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, his husband of six months.

According to divorce documents, Haynes cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

He is asking a judge to terminate spousal support for both and indicates that each will pay their own lawyer fees.

Haynes married Leatham last October in a lavish wedding in Palm Springs officiated by reality celebrity, Kris Jenner.

Some assumed Leatham had cheated after the Arrow star posted a demo song titled, “Man It Sucks”, to his Instagram account.

But Colton defended his ex-husband-to-be on Twitter asking fans to lay back, writing, “Jeff would never cheat. He is an amazing man. Please stop being mean to him.”

Eagle-eyed social media folks recently noticed that Haynes had unfollowed his husband and deleted just about every pic of Leatham from his Instagram.

Colton Haynes Defends Husband: “Jeff Would Never Cheat”

After reports that actor Colton Haynes (Arrow/Teen Wolf) and husband of six months, Jeff Leatham, had not only split but (gasp!) unfollowed each other on Instagram, Haynes took to Twitter this morning to defend Leatham against reports of infidelity.

Haynes wrote, “Jeff would never cheat. He’s an amazing man. Please stop being mean to him. The song I wrote was about a past relationship. ❤”

Apparently folks were confused about the cause of the split after Haynes shared a demo recording of a song he wrote.

Titled “Man It Sucks,” Haynes croons:

“Man it sucks / When someone figures out your games and don’t wanna play ‘em no more / We’re crying in our bed and making our way to the floor / Man it sucks / And I don’t like when you’re staying out all night and never answer your phone / I follow you around the world just to be left alone / And man it sucks.”

 Colton has apparently now deleted just about every pic of Leatham from his Instagram.

Vanessa Trump Files For Divorce From Donald Trump Jr.

The New York Daily News reports that Donald Trump Jr. and wife Vanessa are heading to divorce court:

Like father, like son.

Donald Trump Jr.’s wife has filed for divorce.

Vanessa Trump married Trump Jr. in 2005. They have five children.

President Trump has been divorced twice.

The reasons for the divorce filed Thursday in Manhattan Supreme Court were not clear. The divorce was listed as “uncontested,” indicating the split was amicable. Trump Jr. has been traveling extensively while running his father’s business with his brother, Eric.

The “uncontested” aspect means she’s not expecting a legal battle over custody of the couple’s five children or their assets.

I get no glee from this. I don’t think we should make fun of the parents of five children divorcing.

One last thing, though.

Some folks on Twitter have suggested the possibility that this could be a ploy to move assets out of the family name in case serious legal action against the Trumps were to occur.

Hmm…

Fox News Host Jesse Watters In Divorce Proceedings After Affair With Younger Co-Worker

Fox News host Jesse Watters is in divorce proceedings due to an affair with a 25-year-old associate producer at the network.

And no, this does not surprise me. Look at him. Tells you everything you need to know.

The network’s prominent host Jesse Watters — who dined on Monday with President Trump — is in the midst of divorce due to an affair with a 25-year-old associate producer.

Watters’ wife, Noelle Watters, filed for divorce in October. The couple has twin girls.

Sources said the 39-year-old host informed the network of his adulterous relationship with Emma DiGiovine shortly after Noelle filed divorce papers.

DiGiovine was transferred to “The Ingraham Angle.”

DiGiovine and Watters are still dating, sources said.

Watters met his now-estranged wife at Fox News as well.

WH Comm Dir Anthony Scaramucci’s Wife Files For Divorce Citing His “Naked Ambition”

According to the PageSix.com, the wife of newly-installed White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has filed for divorce citing his “naked ambition” and desire to get close to Donald Trump.

Deidre Ball, who worked as a vice president in investor relations for SkyBridge Capital, the firm he founded in 2005 and sold to ascend to the White House, has filed for divorce from “The Mooch” after three years of marriage after getting fed up with his ruthless quest to get close to President Trump, whom she despises.

One source told Page Six, “Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce. She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together.”

Scaramucci and Ball, 38, began dating in 2011 and are believed to have married in 2014.

Donald Trump Dodges His Way Around Opposing Marriage Equality

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, 2016 GOP aspirant Donald Trump said he “wouldn’t speak to them at all about it” if he were asked by a son/daughter/grandchild about why he opposes same-sex marriage.

Wow. That’s ‘presidential.’

From LGBTQ Nation:

Trump replied, “Well, it’s the way it is. I wouldn’t speak to them at all about it, other than they are who they are and I want them to be happy and I will love them and I will cherish them.”

“I’ve gone to gay weddings,” he continued. “I’ve been at gay weddings. I have been against it from the standpoint of Bible, from the standpoint of my teachings as growing up and going to Sunday school and going to church and I’ve been opposed to it.”

“We’ll just see how it all comes out,” he concluded, “but if I was ever in that position I’d just have to explain it.”

In recent days, the thrice-married Trump (isn’t divorce a bad thing in the Bible too?) has proclaimed the Bible his favorite book; although, he was not able to quote or reference a single verse from the good book.

What’s clear to many is Trump’s “opposition” to marriage equality is only an attempt to placate evangelical Republicans. I no more believe Trump opposes same-sex marriage than I believe he opposes divorce.

Wife of AVENGERS Star Jeremy Renner Files For Divorce After Less Than A Year Of Marriage

After less than a year of marriage, it looks as though Avengers star Jeremy Renner is divorce court bound:

Model Sonni Pacheco filed for divorce on Dec. 5 in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences, court documents reveal.

The Canadian beauty listed the date of the couple’s secret marriage as Jan. 13 and the date of separation as Nov. 29.

Pacheco, who is two decades younger than 43-year-old Renner, wants physical custody of the couple’s 1 1/2-year-old daughter Ava Berlin along with spousal support and reimbursement for moving expenses, her filing states.

She asked that joint legal custody and visitation be granted to Renner.

Pacheco also claims the prenup she signed should get tossed on the basis of unspecified fraud and asks that Renner return her passport, birth certificate and Social Security card, TMZ.com first reported.

I’m curious as to what the “unspecified fraud” could be?

Divorce seems to be in the air with Chris Rock and celeb chef Giada De Laurentiis heading to Splitsville with their respective spouses.
