Trump Promotes Conspiracy Theory That Osama bin Laden Is Alive

Donald Trump has been retweeting a conspiracy theory that Osama Bin Laden was not assassinated in 2011 but it was his ‘body double’ that was killed. From The Daily Beast:

President Donald Trump backed a budding conspiracy theory on Tuesday that four Americans were killed in the 2012 Benghazi attack to cover up the blood-sacrifice of Navy SEALs and the “fact” that Osama Bin Laden is still alive, marking what is perhaps the president’s strangest brush yet with far-right conspiracy theories.

Trump’s promotion of the new Benghazi conspiracy theory, which is fast gaining traction on the far right, came in the form of a retweet of a QAnon believer pushing the claim.

The president’s backing helped push the tweet about Benghazi above 14,000 retweets. Trump retweeted another video about the conspiracy theory later on Tuesday night, marking the second time he had promoted the Benghazi claims on Twitter.

The bizarre theory, which is outre even by the standards of the right’s usual Benghazi claims, also alleges that Osama Bin Laden’s body-double, rather than the terrorist mastermind himself, was killed in 2011.

Trump Rants Over Alleged Mystery Medical Procedure

President Donald Trump moaned about renewed speculation about his sudden visit last year to the Walter Reed Medical Center.

New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt reports in his new book that Vice President Mike Pence was put on standby in November 2019 when the president was rushed on a Saturday afternoon to the military hospital, which the White House later explained as routine testing, but others have speculated was more serious.

Schmidt’s book claims Pence was placed on standby if the president had to undergo a medical procedure that would require anesthesia, although he didn’t specify the sourcing of that claim.

In other Trump news, folks were gagging as Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham last night that there are people in black uniforms on planes controlling the streets and compared police officers who shoot civilians to a golfer who ‘chokes’ on a three-foot putt. Right-Wing Nuts Theorize Obama Had Justice Scalia Murdered

Well, you knew this was coming.

Folks across the Tea People population theorize that President Obama had Justice Antonin Scalia killed so that Obama could make one more SCOTUS nomination before leaving office.

Because folks don’t die at the age of 79, don’t you know?

Back here in Reality, the coroner in very Red Texas ruled the cause of Scalia’s death was from heart attack.

Right-Wing Pundits Stoke Ebola Hysteria

It’s incredible the wild, conspiracy theories the right-wing wackos are spreading.

Many are saying things like “President Obama WANTS Ebola to spread in the US because slavery…?”

Wow.

Strange. I don’t recall when thousands of Americans were dying of AIDS in the 1980s all this right-wing, conservative concern.

Reagan ignored the issue of AIDS spreading across the country until over 20,000 Americans died. As of today, there have been (sadly) one death from Ebola in America.

Where was the outrage then? Where was the concern?

Right-wing radio host launches the birth of the “Pregnancy Truthers”

Right-wing radio host Steve Malzberg, speaking about on the news of Chelsea Clinton’s impending birth:

“Chelsea Clinton is having a baby, she announced it and lo and behold, Hillary was by her side.

“Hillary is going to be a grandmother. And an expected grandmother while she runs for president.

“I don’t mean that they’re making up she’s pregnant, OK? But what great timing! I mean, purely accidental, purely an act of nature, purely just left up to God, and God answered Hillary Clinton’s prayers and she’s going to have the prop of being a new grandma while she runs for president.” 

So, Chelsea Clinton has famous parents who are happy to be first time grand-parents, and Steve Malzberg tosses out some red meat that the birth is part of an all-encompassing scheme to win votes for a presidential run that hasn’t even been announced yet.
