I originally posted this on March 15, 2011, in tribute to my funny, talented, and dear friend, Thommie Walsh.
This is a very personal post for me. I share it each year in remembrance of his beautiful, magical spirit. When I first wrote these words, they were in tribute, but over the years, my feelings have shifted just slightly to “celebration.”

• MSN: A Los Angeles County engineer sued his employer for refusing to let him work from home in June, when the LGBTQ Pride flag will be flown from the building where he works. His employers told him to take the back entrance to the building that month. He was also advised to seek mental health counseling. LOL…

Nominations have been announced for the inaugural Broadway Ensemble Awards, a new initiative recognizing outstanding Broadway chorus performers.
Created to recognize the talent and discipline of Broadway chorus performers, the Broadway Ensemble Awards shine a spotlight on the artists who power Broadway musicals from within the ensemble.

• Broadway World: A new production of the beloved musical The Fantasticks, reimagined as a contemporary gay love story, is now in development for Broadway under the direction and choreography of my longtime friend and Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli.
• New York Times: The victim of today’s ICE shooting in Minneapolis has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, remembered as a compassionate, giving person. A video circulating on X appears to show her distraught partner sitting in the snow in Minneapolis sobbing, “They killed my wife. • PEOPLE: Country superstar Dolly Parton accepted the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in a video message on Sunday Nov. 16 at the 2025 Governors Awards.
