Business Insider Says Hillary Clinton Will Announce 2016 Candidacy This Sunday

Two Democratic challengers to Clinton, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee have also officially launched 2016 presidential exploratory committees.

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley is also considering entering the race.

Former Governor/US Senator Lincoln Chafee Announces 2016 Exploratory Committee

It looks like Hillary Clinton will have some company on the 2016 campaign trails.

Sixty-two old former U.S. Senator and former Governor of Rhode Island has announced he wants to give Democratic voters a choice for president. “The Republicans have lots of choices, I feel that Democratic voters deserve choices too.”

“Throughout my career, I exercised good judgment on a wide range of high-pressure decisions, decisions that require level-headedness and careful foresight,” said Chafee.

“Often these decisions came in the face of political adversity. During the next weeks and months I look forward to sharing with you my thoughts about the future of our great country.”

Chafee plans to share his ideas and vision through announcements on his website, Chafee2016.com.

Donald Trump Isn’t Sure Ted Cruz Can Be President

Donald Trump, who famously questioned President Obama’s eligibility to be president, now voices his concerns over whether Sen. Ted Cruz has proper standing to run for the high office.

In a phone interview with My Fox New York, Trump expressed his doubts, “It’s a hurdle. Somebody could certainly look at it very seriously.”

“He was born in Canada,” complained Trump. “If you know, when we all studied our history lessons, you are supposed to be born in this country, so I just don’t know how the courts will rule on this.”

And again, last night with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly he continued, saying it’s “another layer” of concern.

Trump continues to tease with the threat that he himself may run for the 2016 GOP nomination.

Jon Stewart Revels In Sen. Ted Cruz’ 2016 Prez Run Announcement

Jon Stewart of The Daily Show “celebrates” the news of Sen. Ted Cruz’ presidential campaign launch.

I think the funniest thing is the news that the students had to attend the event at Liberty University. Apparently it’s a required weekly convocation.

So, the picture of all those young voters “excited” about Cruz running for Prez? Yeah, not so much.

Sen. Ted Cruz Set To Announce Run For 2016 GOP Presidential Nom

Ted Cruz will announce Monday that he will seek the presidency, with a campaign that aims to energize the party’s Tea Party and socially conservative wings.

He will be the first Republican to declare his candidacy.

The freshman senator from Texas is set to announce his intentions in a speech at Liberty University, founded by Jerry Falwell, and which bills itself as the world’s largest Christian university. The Houston Chronicle was the first to report Cruz’s announcement.

Cruz, 44, is just starting the third year of his first Senate term. He is an undisputed leader of the Tea Party movement, known for his brash, uncompromising style and conservative beliefs that target both President Obama as well as his fellow Republicans.

He repeatedly criticizes the “mushy middle” — as reflected by the GOP’s last two presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain — and denounces his fellow Republicans for failing to make bold distinctions with Democrats. “It’s a failed electoral strategy,” Cruz has said.
