The crowd in Columbus, Ohio, was practically asleep until he insulted two hecklers. The insult – “You can get ’em the hell out” – got him his biggest response.
Donald Trump posted a video today that implies that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “laughed” as the attacks on American diplomats were under attack in Benghazi.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump posted a video to Instagram Monday that mocked Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s laugh, superimposing video of her chuckling over newspaper headlines about her emails and fiery images from the Benghazi attacks.
At one point, Trump’s video showed Clinton laughing during her recent 11-hour testimony before the House Benghazi committee over footage of the burning diplomatic compound. Trump captioned the video with, “Hillary, there is nothing to laugh about.”

Speaking at a campaign rally in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, Donald Trump made the ridiculous claim that he saw “thousands” cheer in New Jersey on 9/11: “I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down, and I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down,” he said.
Trump doubled down on that assertion today on ABC This Week:
On Sunday, in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Trump reiterated his claim. “There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey where you have large Arab populations, he said. “There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it, a heavy Arab population that were cheering as the buildings came down. Not good.”
“I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down,” Trump said Sunday. “That tells you something.”
“It was well covered at the time, George. Now, I know they don’t like to talk about it, but it was well covered at the time.”
Actually, it wasn’t: according to both the Associated Press and the New York Times, there are no accounts of such demonstrations taking place in contemporary news reports.

Big union endorsement for Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton today by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), one of the nation’s largest unions.
“Hillary Clinton has proven she will fight, deliver and win for working families,” SEIU International President Mary Kay Henry said in a statement.
“This movement for economic, racial, immigrant and social justice is poised to turn out to vote in November with their families and communities and keep pushing elected officials to deliver once in office,” Henry added.
The SEIU represents over 2 million union members.
It’s a big win for Clinton. The former secretary of State has more than a half-dozen national unions with memberships in the millions in her corner.
Flailing GOP White House hopeful and current New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, speaking on the Hugh Hewitt radio show, puts on his tough act saying he wouldn’t even allow a 5 year old orphan from Syria into the United States.
Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the U.S. Supreme Court case that brought marriage equality to all of the U.S. has thrown his support for the 2016 presidential campaign to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“We have fought to not only change laws, but to change hearts, and now we need a president who will help us fight to eliminate the injustices that occur regularly in our community, and the best person to do that is Hillary Clinton,” Obergefell said. “Hillary is a proven leader who will not only ensure that states are implementing marriage equality, but will work to end discrimination in our community whether it’s by passing the Equality Act or through state measures. I refuse to let Republicans undo the progress that we’ve made, and that is why we need Hillary Clinton in the White House because she will be by our side as we break down barriers and finally reach full equality for all.”
The Clinton campaign issued this statement:
“Jim made history and changed America for the better by fighting for marriage equality all the way to the Supreme Court,” said Hillary Clinton “There are still too many places where LGBT Americans are targeted for harassment and violence, and there are too many young people who are uncertain and scared of what their future might hold. Right now in America, you can get married on Saturday and be fired from your job on Monday just because of who you love. I see the injustices that are happening in our country, and that is why I’m committed to working with Jim and others to end discrimination against the LGBT community once and for all.”
This news comes on the heels of a Public Policy Poll published after the second Democratic debate this past Saturday which showed 67 percent of respondents thought Clinton won, followed by 20 percent for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and 7 percent for former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.
