Survey: 53% Of Unvaccinated Believe Shot Is More Dangerous Than COVID-19

New polling shows a majority of unvaccinated adults in the United States believe getting vaccinated against the coronavirus is more dangerous to their health than actually getting COVID-19. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation survey released today: • 53% of unvaccinated adults say getting vaccinated is a bigger risk to their health than getting infected with coronavirus • 73% of unvaccinated adults say they are “not worried” about getting seriously sick from the virus • 61% say they are “very unlikely” or “definitely” not getting vaccinated • 26% of unvaccinated adults say they are likely to get a vaccine before the end of 2021 • 10% continue to have a ‘wait and see’ attitude • 51% of all polled say the federal government should recommend employers require their employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine unless they have a medical exception; 45% oppose the idea Currently about 70% of adult Americans have received at least one dose of the available vaccines. New daily cases in the United States rose 52% over the previous week.
