The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History has removed references to Donald Trump’s two impeachments from an exhibit display.
The exhibit now states that “only three presidents have seriously faced removal.”
Of course, as we all know, Trump was impeached twice by the House during his first term.
First, in regard to a phone call when he reportedly asked Ukraine to probe then-former Vice President Biden and his son Hunter Biden. The second impeachment was triggered by his alleged role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
Under pressure from the White House, the Smithsonian has removed President Trump from the impeachment exhibit at the American History Museum.
The exhibit now says that “only three presidents have seriously faced removal,” referring to Johnson, Nixon, and Clinton.

According to reports by the Washington Post, the change came about as “part of a content review that the Smithsonian agreed to undertake following pressure from the White House to remove an art museum director.”
In late March, Trump penned an executive order directing the removal of “divisive narratives” from the Smithsonian Institution that do not align with the White House’s vision to “remind’ Americans “of our extraordinary heritage.”
Following the publication of the Post’s report, the Smithsonian announced that “a future and updated exhibit will include all impeachments.”
Prominent Democrats, including Rep. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin and Sen. Adam Schiff of Callifornia, were quick to denounce the revising of history.
Trump can pretend it didn’t happen all he wants, but the facts don’t lie – he was impeached twice. I know. I was there.https://t.co/G4IQ0CdvlZ
