Sean Duffy’s Reality Show Arrives To Dismal Numbers

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s new reality show, “The Great American Road Trip,” finally found the light of day premiering on YouTube yesterday.

The six-episode series follows Duffy and his family as they drive across the U.S. But folks don’t seem very interested as the viewing numbers are dismal.

As I write this, the first episode has barely garnered 4,000 views. The second episode had approximately 2,700 views, and the third scored just 1,100 views. It’s also notable that comments on the YouTube videos have been disabled.

The show arrives over a month late as it was originally announced to coincide with Trump’s Freedom 250 campaign celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday.

To give you an idea of the content, in the second episode of the show, Duffy tells his teenage daughter that Harvard University “corrupts” the minds of “good young girls” and advised her to avoid the Ivy League institution.

Critics have labeled the project out-of-touch amid high fuel prices across the U.S., while ethics watchdogs question the optics of the show being funded by companies under Duffy’s regulatory purview.
