Team USA won Olympic gold in men’s ice hockey, defeating Canada in the gold-medal game of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
The last men’s U.S. hockey team to win gold was 46 years ago with the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” crew.

An Alaska lawmaker’s chief of staff was arrested in Juneau on Friday on federal charges of sex trafficking and child exploitation, enticement and coercion of a minor, and creating child sexual abuse material.
Craig Scott Valdez, 36, was chief of staff to state Sen. George Rauscher (R) since November, and had worked in Rauscher’s office since 2021.

Eric Dane, best known for his role as “Dr. Mark Sloan” aka “McSteamy” on the hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, has died of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
