Study: DoxyPEP Effective In Preventing STIs After Unprotected Sex

It’s no secret that condom use among gay men has dropped in recent years with the development of PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis). PrEP is nearly 99% effective in preventing HIV infections. But – it does nothing in regard to avoiding an STI such as gonorrhea or syphilis. Enter DoxyPEP – short for Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis. The probe will look into a number of alleged unlawful activities including campaign finance issues, conflict of interest laws, and sexual misconduct allegations.
