Pope Francis Dead At 88

Pope Francis died on Monday, just hours after appearing in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican on Easter Sunday. He was 88. The pontiff had recently survived a serious bout of double pneumonia. In March 2013, he became the first Latin American leader of the Roman Catholic Church. Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, he took the name Francis when he became pope.
