Indie rock band Rainbow Kitten Surprise recently dropped their new album, bones, featuring a visualizer of the new track “Tropics” from their sold-out show at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheater last month.

There won’t be a September jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics today thanks to the shutdown of the federal government.
But we do have the ADP National Employment Report, which shows the U.S. lost 32,000 private sector jobs in September. Experts had predicted a gain of about 50,000 jobs.

• Variety: Hulu has announced its gay-centered sitcom “Mid-Century Modern” starring Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, Nathan Lee Graham, and the late Linda Lavin, will not return for a second season. While not groundbreaking, I liked the series, sometimes playfully referred to as a gay “Golden Girls.” It was comfortable and easy to watch. #DarnIt
• Attitude Magazine: Madonna has revealed she’s recorded a new song – “Fragile” – for her late brother Christopher Ciccone, which will be featured on her forthcoming album, Confessions on a Dance Floor Part 2, due next year. Law enforcement authorities in Michigan are still working their way through the burned-out church that was the site of a deadly attack Sunday morning that left four people and the suspect dead and another eight victims injured.
