The Dancing With The Stars ballroom was the most ‘swankified’ place in town with this fantastic “Wicked Night” opening number by the pro dancers featuring music from Wicked & Wicked: For Good!
I don’t watch DWTS as live TV, but clips frequently come up in my YouTube feed and I always stop for the opening numbers by the professional dancers as the creativity and execution almost always blow me away.
This DWTS ‘Wicked Night’ opening is fantastic. First, the musicality of the choreography – top shelf. Second, the performance quality of the dancers – from the joy and commitment to the number, to the stretched out arms, sharp fans kicks, and more. So many textures, layers and levels…
I love being reminded why I’ll be a dancer – whether on my feet or in my head – all my life.

Afterward, the 10 couples danced Argentine Tango, Contemporary, Foxtrot, Jazz, Rumba and Quickstep routines to songs from the Wicked movie soundtrack.
