A news anchor had the perfect response to a snarky email from a viewer after he reported on the amazing 40 consecutive wins by trans Jeopardy! champ Amy Schneider. Newsman Curt Autry responded with next level shade.
In Autry’s report for NBC 12 in Richmond, Virginia, he noted that Schneider is the winningest woman in Jeopardy! history.
Apparently, one viewer got bent out of shape over his proper use of pronouns and gender in referring to Schneider, who is transgender.

The viewer, named “Gretchen,” wrote:
Hey Curt, I saw that you somehow managed to read the story on the news last night (and with a straight face) that Amy Schneider is now the winningest woman in the history of Jeopardy! You don’t see the irony there? So which is it, are you stupid and not realize that Amy is a dude or do you stay that woke 24/7?
Your Former Fan,
Gretchen
What is it about some people that they need to live in such darkness? And why do they feel the need to spread their ugliness?
Without missing a beat, Autry penned the perfect clap back, and shared it with his Facebook followers.
Dear Gretchen, we’ve never met, so I don’t know you – but since you approached me as “Gretchen,” I assume that’s how you like to be addressed, I feel no need to peek in your panties to verify it. I’ll call you what makes you comfortable, the same goes for Amy. And that has nothing to do with my I-Q or how “woke” I am, it’s just a simple matter of respect.
Have a blessed day,
Curt Autry NBC12
Curt Autry FTW!!!
As I reported earlier this week, Schneider’s incredible reign on the long-running game show came to an end after 40 consecutive wins. She leaves with $1,382,800 in winnings but will return for the Tournament of Champions.
