Out recording artist Johnny Manuel has released his latest single, “Molotov,” celebrating moving forward and new beginnings without any negativity from the past.

“‘Molotov’ is about rebuilding after you’ve burned it all to ashes – however that looks and feels for you,” Manuel says in a press statement. “It’s about building a new life, a new mode of thinking, a new career, a new business, a new relationship with yourself. It’s about ridding yourself of the negativity and rebuilding yourself anew.

“I had to burn down my past trauma, and the doubt and pain other people had created in me throughout the years,” he adds. “I had to burn down all my past resentments, frustrations, and disappointments before I could start constructing this new version of myself.”

In terms of sound, Manuel says the directive was “celebratory yet aggressive,” adding,  “For me, the duality was essential, in order to match the emotion of the lyrical content, and Aidan (Laprete), as always, made it exactly what it needed to be.”

The music video for “Molotov” (directed by Atypical Beings) takes a sleek neo-modern approach featuring Manuel in a black-and-white aesthetic that celebrates a future without limitations.

I first noticed Manuel back in 2017 when he stopped traffic on America’s Got Talent with his spectacular performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”

Earlier this summer, he dropped “End Of The Night,” the first single from his upcoming EP, Blue, scheduled for release October 13.

Johnny Manuel’s “Molotov” is available now on all major music platforms.
