Missoula Adopts Pride Flag As ‘Official City Flag’ + Music From Conan Gray + More News

Erin In The Morning: Montana lawmakers passed a new law effectively banned the flying of Pride flags on city property and in public schools. So last night, the city council of Missoula formally designated the Pride flag as an official city flag, thus side-stepping the ban.

New Music: The music video for Conan Gray’s “This Song” takes viewers on a journey through sun-drenched fields, riverside roughhousing, and long drives into the dusk as two young men fall in love. The string-heavy production has a loping feel that pairs perfectly with the song’s yearning lyrics.

Washington Blade: A federal judge on Tuesday temporarily blocked the enforcement of Donald Trump’s executive order instructing officials with the Bureau of Prisons to stop providing gender-affirming hormone therapy to transgender people.

Meidas News: While Trump’s MAGA cultists are attacking Pride Month online, the conservative gay group Log Cabin Republicans is planning a Pride event at Trump Tower in New York City this month complete with a premium open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and rainbow-themed promotional graphics.

Washington Post: Subscriptions for the upcoming season of programming at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts are down by about $1.6 million, or roughly 36 percent, compared with last year.

New York Times: Elon Musk took to X to criticize Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” today. “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote as he derided the domestic policy bill as “massive, outrageous, pork-filled,” adding that it would “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit.”

Politico: A new in-depth survey of Latino voters shows their support for Donald Trump is steadily eroding. Overall, his approval among Latinos fell from 43% to 39%.  Among independents, Trump’s approval dropped from 43% in February to 29% in May.
