Kamala Harris Tests Positive For COVID-19

Vice President Kamala Harris has tested positive for COVID-19 but is not exhibiting any symptoms

Vice President Kamala Harris has tested positive for COVID-19, her office announced Tuesday.

According to her press secretary Kirsten Allen, Harris has shown no symptoms. Harris will isolate and continue to work from the vice president’s residence. According to CBS News, Harris has not been in close contact with either President Biden or first lady Dr. Jill Biden because of their recent travel schedules. She has been vaccinated and received two booster shots. The vice president will return to the White House once she tests negative. Among them were Attorney General Merrick Garland; White House press secretary Jen Psaki; House of Representatives speaker, Nancy Pelosi; Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo; first lady Jill Biden’s press secretary, Michael LaRosa; the vice president’s communication director, Jamal Simmons; Texas Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro; California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff; Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins; and the President’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens.
