Kamala Harris Makes Surprise Appearance In SNL Cold Open

Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance last night during SNL’s cold open – instantly becoming a viral moment. Standing alone in a dressing room, Maya Rudolph’s “Harris” (who’s portrayed the vice president for years) wishes she could talk to someone “who’s been in my shoes — a Black, South Asian woman running for president, preferably from the Bay Area.” As she sits down at a dressing table, there – through the imaginary mirror – is the presidential candidate herself. The moment the two women faced each other and smiled is truly a bright light, joyful moment that went on and on and on as the live audience screamed  and applauded. Gazing at each other Harris reached out her hand and told Rudolph: “I’m just here to remind you — you got this.” We needed this.
