Members of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary gave Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson an ‘A-plus’ rating on the final day of confirmation hearings. They unanimously found her to be a “first rate” judge “without any biases.” The representatives lauded the qualifications of Jackson saying everyone they interviewed used terms such as “brilliant,” “beyond reproach,” “impeccable” and “A-plus” to describe her.

More from the Washington Post:

They said they found no evidence to support Republican criticism that Jackson was lenient in her sentencing as a federal trial court judge.

The testimony from the ABA — which has rated Jackson “well qualified” to serve on the high court — came at the outset of the fourth and final day of hearings on her nomination.

Other outside witnesses called by Democrats and Republicans are also testifying Thursday on President Biden’s nominee.

“Well qualified” is the ABA’s highest rating. If confirmed, Jackson would be the first Black woman on the court in its 233-year history. A recent poll by Gallup found 58% of Americans support confirming Jackson to the high court.
