The out bisexual speed skater scored her latest gold in the 1,500-meter race today. https://www.instagram.com/p/CZrObbhKcSm/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Wüst won her first gold medal at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. As far as I know, Wüst is the first known out LGBTQ competitor at the Beijing Olympics to medal. But wait – there’s more! The 35-year-old now has 12 Olympic medals (six gold) but she still has two remaining events to compete in. Wüst told the New York Times the Beijing Games will be her last Olympics as she looks to the future which includes getting married to her girlfriend, Letitia de Jong, and having children. “I always say age is just a number,” she shared with the Times. “But I’m 35, and I really want to have children, so at some point you have to quit.” Before arriving in China, she shared pics of her Olympic hardware prior to the current Games. https://www.instagram.com/p/CYtwcr_qP4N/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
