Biden’s appearance made it even more clear to the American public that he was willing to testify in front of the Committee in compliance with the subpoena so long as his testimony was public.
The reason behind this was because, historically, private depositions have allowed each party to sway public narrative by making statements about the private testimony without the public ever hearing that testimony.
Hunter Biden wanted to avoid having his testimony misconstrued so he appeared in front of the Committee daring them to call him as a witness today. They did not.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) called out House GOPers for the double standard they set when their own members previously failed to comply with a lawful Congressional subpoena, rattling off a list several Republican members of Congress. Moskowitz also announced he would vote to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress IF House Republicans would vote to hold everyone who failed to comply with a subpoena in contempt as well. Nancy Mace (R-SC) decided to embarrass herself by telling Biden he is the “epitome of white privilege” and has no balls – which, of course we know isn’t true because Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) presented photos of Hunter’s junk in a previous hearing. Rep.
