Herschel Walker, former NFL star and current Republican candidate for U.S. Senator in Georgia, insists that Donald Trump never claimed the 2020 presidential election was rigged or stolen.

Wait – is this a CGI trick or something?

In a video clip that was shared on social media this week, Walker is asked by a reporter if he believes – as Trump has not stopped saying for a year and a half – that the 2020 election was stolen.

Walker: “I think you — I think reporters said that. I don’t know whether President Trump ever said that because he never said that to me.”

Reporter: “He says it over and over.”

Walker: “No, no, no, no, I’ve never heard President Trump ever say that.”

According to a study done by HuffPost in February 2021, Trump declared the 2020 election was rigged 68 times, said it was stolen 35 times, and claimed voter irregularities 250 times.

This comes shortly after reports that Walker has claimed multiple times that he founded a military veterans charity. But it’s not a charity and it was created 11 years before Walker was hired as a spokesman, which paid him a salary of $331,000 last year.

Due to his high name recognition, Herschel Walker has led in every poll since he announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat in Georgia. According to RealClearPolitics, Walker is leading in polls for today’s Republican primary by an average of 55 points.
