Politico: Donald Trump has directed the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a private nonprofit that Congress awards more than $500 million annually to fund public media, to “cancel existing direct funding to the maximum extent allowed by law” to NPR and PBS. • New York Times: The National Endowment for the Arts has withdrawn grant offers to arts organizations around the country just hours after Trump proposed eliminating the agency in his next budget.
