Nothing says “I love you son” like dressing up in a different costume every day for a year and waving at your sophomore son’s school bus.
You have to admire the commitment the father had to NEVER repeat a costume. Apparently the kids on the school bus began to look forward to what the “costume of the day” would be.
I can relate a little to this. While performing in “Hello, Dolly!” on Broadway, every night before a particular entrance, a short piece of music would play and I would improvise a quick ‘themed’ dance for my cast mates. I tried to never repeat a theme.
