It clearly pays well to battle with Donald Trump as evidenced by Fox News’ host Megyn Kelly newly announced $10 million book deal.
Deadline reports the host of Fox News’ “The Kelly File” will pen what many expect to be a memoir for Gallery Books. The tome is expected for release this fall.
I’m waiting for The Trumpster to tweet out a “You’re welcome” any time now.
Clearly people love what they see on the hit TV series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK as Netflix announces the show has been picked up for an additional 3 more seasons.
The renewal comes on the heels of “OITNB’s” strong showing at Saturday’s SAG Awards, where the show took the comedy ensemble award for the second year in a row and the comedy actress trophy for star Uzo Abdua for the second straight year.
Netflix is famously tight-fisted when it comes to offering up viewership data about its original series. But execs with the streaming giant have repeatedly confirmed that “OITNB” is its most-watched original series. That has been backed up by the efforts of outside measurement companies to track viewing in the Netflix eco-system.
I’ve never heard of a TV drama being picked up for that many more new seasons. It speaks volumes as to the quality and popularity of the show.
Mayor Bill de Blasio, speaking at news conference near the scene, said that while the wind was picking up, workers were trying to secure the crane when it toppled onto Worth Street shortly before 8:30 a.m.
The tangled metal wreckage spanned roughly two blocks between Hudson and Church Streets, and the impact caused leaks to gas and water mains in the area.
The collapse made for a jarring scene with the hulking piece of construction equipment — its boom stretching 565 feet — filling a typically busy area of Lower Manhattan.
The person killed was sitting in a car parked on Worth Street when the crane fell, Mr. de Blasio said. Two people were seriously injured, and another had minor injuries, from being struck by falling debris; their injuries were not life-threatening, the authorities said.
At the news conference, Mr. de Blasio said it was remarkable that the human toll was not worse, with the collapse coming during the morning rush in an area typically bustling with commuters. He said that as the crane was being secured, workers on the ground were keeping pedestrians away and that the precaution had saved lives.
It’s incredible that the crane fell mostly along the length of the street.
White’s health had declined in the last few months as a result of a long battle with Parkinsons disease, which had plagued him since the early 1990s and forced him to stop touring in 1994.
White founded the legendary funk-soul band in Chicago in the late 1960s alongside his brothers Verdine and Fred and served as the band’s chief songwriter and producer. He shared vocal duties with lead singer Philip Bailey. The group’s hits include “Shining Star,” “September” and “Boogie Wonderland.” The band, which has sold more than 90 million albums worldwide, is set to be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 15.
The musician has seven Grammy wins and 21 nominations under his belt. EWF was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. White also appears in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame.
The daily poll shows Rubio gaining 3 points while front-runner Donald Trump dropped 2 points overnight.
Here’s where the Republicans stand:
Over on the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton rises 4 points while Sen. Bernie Sanders drops 3 points.
With five days before the first in the nation primary, it’ll be interesting to see how much ground the underdogs in the Granite State might make up.
Will Trump’s peeps really show up and vote for him? He’s admitted he knew nothing about “ground game” in Iowa – will that change in New Hampshire?
I’ve said before that with Sanders practically in his backyard, and with such a commanding lead, a second place finish by Hillary in single digits would register as an achievement.
Instagram star Brock O’Hurn (and king of Man Buns) is burning up the beach in a new commercial for Icelandic Glacial water.
As the sexy muscle bear comes onto the beach while surfing, stripping out of his wet suit, office workers – male and female – take in the scene from a nearby window. Fun that the spot includes the gay 🙂
The 6’7″ slab of twisted steel and sex appeal is also featured this month in GQ Magazine.

ABC News is reporting that Hillary Clinton wasn’t the Secretary of State to utilize a private email account.
It turns out immediate staffers for Condoleezza Rice, and Colin Powell himself, used non-State department email accounts while serving at SOS. These accounts have been found to have classified information on them.
Colin Powell and the immediate staff of Condoleezza Rice, both of whom served under President George W. Bush, also had information that was later deemed classified on non-State Department email accounts, according to a new memo from the State Department’s Inspector General, described to ABC News by Rep. Elijah Cummings.
That memo, dated Feb. 3 and addressed to Under Secretary of State for Management, Patrick Kennedy, was shared with Cummings, the ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. ABC News has not seen the memo.
Cummings, who has long been critical of the many Republican-led investigations into Clinton’s email use, says this is just further evidence they are out to derail her campaign for President.
“Based on this new revelation, it is clear that the Republican investigations are nothing more than a transparent political attempt to use taxpayer funds to target the Democratic candidate for President,” Cummings said in a statement.
Since Rice and Powell were in a Republican administration, it’ll be interesting to see how rabid anti-Hillary folks will try and square this new information.
