Sen. Bernie Sanders Guests On SNL

We have a “Titanic” situation, and wealthy ship passenger (and SNL host) Larry David can’t believe he has to wait for women and children to board the life boats ahead of him.

“Technically, my life is worth more than all of yours put together,” says David’s character.

Have no fear, though, “Bernie Sanderswitzski” is here to be the voice of reason.

Bernie’s entrance alone is worth watching the clip. And then there’s a well-played Trump moment.

Bravo, Bernie, bravo!

Jeb! Bush Brings In His Big Guns

In the closing days of the New Hampshire primary, GOP White House hopeful Jeb! Bush brings in his biggest guns – brother George W and still popular mom, Barbara – hoping for some kind of surge.

I would bet he was probably hoping to not launch these ads this early in the campaign season.

Says Mama Bush – “He’s so polite. We brought him up that way, and he does not brag like some people we know.” Asked who she was talking about, she said, “I can’t remember.”

Madeleine Albright: “Special Place In Hell For Women Who Don’t Help Each Other”

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright introduces Hillary Clinton by joking, "And just remember, there's a special place in hell for women who don't help each other.

From The Hill:

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had a special message for female voters Saturday on the campaign trail with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“And just remember,” she said at a rally in Concord, N.H, flanked by Clinton and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.). “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.”

Albright also pushed back against Clinton’s rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who often pitches a “political revolution.”

“So people are talking about revolution, what a revolution it would be to have a woman president,” she said.

Economy Adds 151K Jobs In January – Unemployment Drops To 4.9%

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this week that the U.S. economy added 151,000 jobs last month, bringing the unemployment rate to 4.9% – the lowest unemployment rate in 8 years.

You’ll recall that in 2012 GOP candidate Mitt Romney promised to bring unemployment down to 6 % by 2017.

Obama got to under 5% a year earlier. Just saying…

Which Do You Hit Harder To Lose Weight – Diet Or Exercise?

Which is more important in weight loss – diet or exercise?

The science guys over at AsapSCIENCE explain it for you in three minutes.

I will add – since I do know several of the men of Chippendales – who know a thing or two about being in shape – that they put it at 80% nutrition, 20% exercise.

That’s not to say exercise should be ignored. You burn more calories the  more fit you are. And there is that endorphin high that’s hard to beat… 🙂

The Hillary Clinton Master Class in selfie taking.Posted by Jason Bellini on Friday, February 5, 2016

Now this is retail politics. A woman of the people.

I think she’s said somewhere that Kim Kardashian gave her tips for selfies.

I’m sure her Secret Service team just hates this.

New Hampshire Tracking Poll – Day 6

Day 6 of the 7News/UMass Lowell New Hampshire Tracking poll shows not much movement.

Hillary Clinton has narrowed the gap quite a bit this week. She started down 31 points this week but has closed that to a 14 point deficit. But I don’t see her closing the deal by Tuesday’s primary. Another tracking poll showed her down 12 points.

Bernie Sanders stayed steady at 55 percent, and Hillary Clinton gained a point. She now has 41 percent.

The tracking poll shows Sanders has stopped his downward trend.

As for Hillary Clinton, she’s still ticking upwards, but now at slower pace.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump went up a point to 35 percent.

Marco Rubio lost a point, and now has 14.

Ted Cruz also lost a point. He has 13 and remains in third.

Jeb Bush and John Kasich both gained two points, and both have ten.

Chris Christie went down one to four percent.

Ben Carson is also down one with three percent, and Carly Fiorina is also at three.

You Want To Read Hillary Clinton’s Goldman Sachs Speeches? Here – Watch One!

In the Democratic debate this past week, former Secretary of State was plied again with questions insinuating that by being paid to give six figure speeches at Goldman Sachs events, she must have said or promised something nefarious.

At one point she was asked if she would “release the transcripts” of her GS speeches.

Good lord. Who knows if she even has one?

But here’s the good news: now you can watch one of those speeches! Here you go!

The event featured a keynote address from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the business case for empowering women to ensure future economic growth.

You’ll note nothing nefarious is discussed.

I wonder why some right-wing “news outlet” hasn’t released this news?

Oh – because there’s no “there” there. That’s why.
