President Trump’s Travel Expenses Continue To Dwarf Obama’s

Does this really not bother any of Trump’s supporters?

Before he became America’s commander in chief, Trump frequently criticized Obama’s travel expenses on Fox News and via his Twitter account.

Sara Gilbert “Comes Out” To Former TV Dad John Goodman In Classic ROSEANNE Roles

How an image can take you back 20 years in the span of a second.

Two decades after the 90s hit sitcom, Roseanne, signed off, two of the shows stars teamed up for a sweet one minute reunion this week.

John Goodman stopped by The Talk this week to promote his new movie, Kong: Skull Island. And clearly the temptation was too great to not take a trip in the “way back machine” with former TV daughter Sara Gilbert, now a host on the afternoon gabfest.

The scene opens with “Dan Conner” (Goodman) on the couch with daughter “Darlene” (Gilbert) watching a football game.

Gilbert: “So, uh, there’s something I’ve been wanting to talk to you about for a while now. I don’t know how to say this—I’m a talk show host.”

Goodman: “Well, as long as you’re happy, you know, me and your mom will support you. You know, for a minute there I thought you were going to tell me you were gay.”

Gilbert: “Let’s save something for halftime.” (sly smile)

And the crowd goes wild.

Of course, the fun here is that Gilbert came out publicly in 2010.

Watch below. Very cute.

Poll: 54% Of Americans Support Obamacare

While Congressional Republicans are moving quickly to push their “repeal & replace” of the Affordable Care Act (also known as “Obamacare”), a new poll shows the 2010 health care legislation has hit it’s highest level of support yet.

According to Pew Research, 54% approve of the health care law passed seven years ago by Barack Obama and Congress, while 43% disapprove

This past December, the numbers were much closer – 48% approved versus 47% disapproved.

Of course, the results fall right down partisan divisions: Democrats show 85% approval for the ACA, while Republicans disapprove to the tune of 89%.

A slight majority of Independents (53%) approve, with 45% giving a thumbs down.

Hugh Jackman Gives Good Sound In Post-Production

Ah, the sexy magic of movie making.

Here’s an inside look at how seemingly simple scenes – super-heroic running through the forest – have to be pieced and parsed together. Sound sessions like this are a regular part of the process, especially in action films.

Along the way, we get to hear ever handsome Hugh Jackman, grunt, growl and snarl and howl as he drops in sound for the newly released “Wolverine” flick, Logan.

Now, with all that ferocity, imagine what he sounds like on a hot Saturday night 😉

Volvo XC60 Commercial Features Gay Couple

Right there in the midst of Volvo’s posh new commercial for the redesigned XC60 compact SUV is a handsome gay couple having a quiet moment.

Gorgeous arial shots of rolling hills, sexy cityscapes, luxurious penthouse views of sunrise and sunsets coupled with a moody cinematic score makes the message complete.

The casual inclusion is noteworthy when you consider not long ago the two second shot would have caused an uproar.

But LGBT inclusion isn’t new for Volvo. Volvo has been focusing on the gay market all the way back to June 2001, with an ad for the S60 in Genre Magazine.

Watch below (cute couple at the 1:24 mark).

South Dakota Governor Signs Anti-LGBT Legislation Into Law

Deeply disappointing.

From the ACLU:

Today, Governor Daugaard signed Senate Bill 149 into law, making South Dakota the first state in 2017 to pass anti-LGBT legislation. The bill will allow taxpayer funded agencies to refuse to provide any service, including adoption or foster care services, on the basis on the agency’s religious or moral convictions.

The American Civil Liberties Union of South Dakota has led the opposition to SB 149 through both lobbying efforts and by organizing affected communities. In a state facing a labor and talent shortage, this bill has sparked national interest and local questions as to whether South Dakota welcomes diversity and values the rights of individual citizens.

This bill was opposed by local and national child welfare experts that sent letters in opposition including The Adoption Exchange, Child Welfare League of America, National Association of Social Workers, and Voice for Adoption, as well as family law experts, South Dakota pediatricians, and local and national LGBT rights organizations including the Movement Advancement Project, the Human Rights Campaign, and more.
