In a new for-your-consideration mailer that was sent to Emmy voters this week, Peter Griffin is doing his best impression of White House counselor and Anderson Cooper eyeroll recipient Kellyanne Conway, dressed in the $3600 red, white, and blue Gucci coat that she wore to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Yesterday, Donald Trump met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russia’s ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak. The White House didn’t allow the American press in, but did allow official Russian photographers.
Everyone from Chuck Todd to a former CIA official was mad about that. Whether it was an assault on the free press or straight-up dangerous to allow Russian crews to set up tech in the Oval Office, the involvement of the Russian news agency TASS was the only way American people got images from the meeting.
Now, the White House is upset about even that.
According to CNN, the Trump administration didn’t think that TASS would post the photos. In fact, CNN quotes an official as saying, “They tricked us,” and, “That’s the problem with the Russians — they lie.”
CNN also described how the Russian media acted in a pretty straight-forward way: “The Russians used the photos to troll the White House in its social media posts Wednesday.”
WH furious over Russian government photos of Trump meeting with Lavrov/Kislyak. “They tricked us,” an official said of Russians “They lie.”
In a clip released by NBC News, President Trump tells Lester Holt that he planned to fire former FBI Director James Comey regardless of any recommendations from Attorney General Jeff Sessions or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
“I was going to fire regardless of recommendation.”
Additionally, in the clip Trump calls Comey a “showboat” and a “grandstander.”
Yesterday, the White House’s story was the firing happened due to DAG Rosenstein’s 3 page letter recommending the firing.
Trump supporter Alexander Jennes Downing, 35, literally terrorizes a family during a day at the beach.
In the video below, taken by the family that afternoon, Downing walks over and confronts them, screaming, “You’re a f****** Muslim, motherf*****.”
When another beachgoer attempted to defuse the situation he cut around the man to return yelling, “You will never ever, ever, stop me, my Christianity, from rising above your Sharia law. Your Sharia law don’t mean s*** to me.”
Later, Downing grabbed his crotch yelling, “Donald Trump will stop you. Donald Trump will stop you!”
While enjoying our time at the beach during a family reunion, our kids and us had to experience ugliness and aggressiveness in the worse shape and form possible.
We were staying at the South Padre Pearl hotel and went to the beach through their private access. My father was approached by two woman who were also enjoying their time. The women asked him to help with talking to a stranger who was harassing them. All my father said to the guy was “please enjoy your time and have fun and let everyone else here enjoy their time.” The guy seemed to listen and walked away.
He then came back to my father and started throwing racist comments. He was yelling so loud that my uncles and my brother came over from the water to see what was going on. The insane man came close to the kids and that’s when my uncle stood up to him and defended us and the kids, including my 4 year old cousin, 4 and 2 year old nephews.
The video here shows a glimpse of what we all had to experience.
It is worth mentioning that we contacted South Padre police and the man left on his way back to the hotel. A little after that the police came and told my father to call them again if he harasses us again.
We went back to playing in the water and sand then the insane man came back with even more aggressiveness and more racial slurs. We called 911 again as you may be able to hear on the video. After about 20 minutes of him going crazy he left back to the hotel.
The police then came back and they arrested the man at the hotel restaurant. When we spoke to the hotel management, they said they couldn’t do anything at the time because he is in police custody and that if they see him, they will evict him.
The next morning my uncle saw him at the front desk and talked to the management. They plainly told us that they can’t do anything about it right now and that if he does this again he will be arrested. I don’t understand what it takes for this hotel to take actions. Do they need someone to get hurt?
Finally, thanks to the cops who took the insane man right away and assured us that this is a nice place but every now and then they get a crazy person like this.
Overall we enjoyed the lovely island and we will definitely go back to South Padre again, we surely will never go back to Pearl South Padre hotel, Texas again.
Not sure if it’s the same Alexander Jennes Downing, but according to this website, a man with the same name who looks a lot like him was charged a few months ago with “Battery Domestic Violence” and “Abuse of Elderly or Disabled Adult.”
Downing’s family must be so proud.
Is this what Donald Trump means when he says Make America Great Again?
Watch below. The lunatic really gets going around the 2:40 mark.
The editorial board of the Kansas City Star calls out state lawmaker Rick Brattin for declaring during a legislative debate that “there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being.”
Look at him. Pretty tells you who he is, doesn’t it?
This is where we thank Hillary Clinton for reintroducing the word “deplorable” into our vocabulary.
Rick Brattin, a Missouri state representative from Harrisonville, seems pretty certain: Homosexuality and humanity are incompatible.
“When you look at the tenets of religion, of the Bible, of the Qur’an, of other religions,” he said Monday, “there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being.”
The statement, made on the Missouri House floor, was deplorable. It betrayed a stunning lack of understanding of theology and self-government: The Constitution protects all Americans from the tyranny of any single faith-based approach to secular law.
We asked Rep. Brattin to explain his statement, but he did not return a phone call to his office.
[snip]
Monday, state lawmakers tried to pass an amendment prohibiting discrimination in the state on the basis of sexual orientation or gender status. In Missouri, you can still be fired because the boss thinks you might be gay.
Brattin made his statement during the debate on that amendment. But it quickly became clear that there were not enough votes to pass the plan, leaving gays and lesbians still unprotected by Missouri’s discrimination law.
That sends exactly the wrong message about tolerance in the state.
It gets worse. After all the amendments were dropped, including the protections for gays and lesbians, the House passed Senate Bill 43, a measure that would actually make it more difficult to sue for discrimination.
The bill is another unnecessary blemish on the state. The legislation’s original sponsor owns a company facing a discrimination lawsuit, making the decision even more questionable.
The bill now sits on Gov. Eric Greitens’ desk.
The governor has made clear his desire to bring new businesses and jobs to Missouri. Supporters say SB 43 is part of an effort to make the state more business-friendly.
But what business wants to operate in a state that tolerates discrimination? Or a state where a representative thinks gays and lesbians are less than human?
The states that grow in the 21st century will be those that show tolerance, acceptance and intelligence. Missouri’s lawmakers are sending a clear signal this state is not any of those things.
The governor should veto the bill. And Brattin should apologize.
VH1’s new scripted series, DaytimeDivas, starring Vanessa Williams, premieres Monday, June 5 at 10/9c on VH1.
Inspired by Star Jones’ book Satan’s Sisters, Williams plays the creator and star of a daytime talk show with co-hosts who think they can make the moves to bring her down.
Sound familiar?
Check the little music vid ditty below as V asserts her dominance among young co-hosts:
“I don’t care who tries to get in my way, it’s up to you to memorize my name, Looking sexy/famous I slay, cuz I’m a mother*cking D-I-V-A!”
