More Republicans Are Abandoning Roy Moore As Another Accuser Comes Forward

Republican Roy Moore

More and more Republican Senators are running away from Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters, “I believe the women,” when it comes to the allegations of sexual misconduct by Moore.

It’s also come to light that Moore was “banned” from one shopping mall as he became well-known for looking for “high school dates.”

And to make matters worse, another woman came forward today accusing Moore of attacking her when she was 16-year-old, and it looks like he clearly knew her as he signed her year book.

Out Music: Kim Petras “I Don’t Want It At All”

Check out the music video for out trans popster Kim Petras’ debut single, “I Don’t Want It At All,” a pop-y “shop-til-you-drop” anthem that features a special guest appearance by Paris Hilton.

Via press release:

Since her childhood in Cologne, Germany, Kim has been in love with pop music. It was a window into the bigger world outside of her little town. Kim notably began transitioning with female hormone therapy following her twelfth birthday before making worldwide headlines as the youngest person to receive gender reassignment surgery at the age of 16. Her experiences and bravery are subtly present in her music and her undeniable debut single perfectly showcases her imaginative artistry and unique brand of escapism.

“Pop was always my biggest obsession,” Kim affirms. “I spend so much time looking for new music online. As a kid, music videos were my escape from the little town I was living in, because nothing happened there. I want to provide that kind of escapism. It’s unapologetically pop.”

Great to see the release was noticed by big mainstream sites Ew.com and Idolator.

McConnell also said he thinks Moore should “step aside” when it comes to the Alabama race for U.S. Senate. The Senate Majority leader says Republicans are exploring the possibility of an effective “write-in” candidate for the Alabama seat.

In related news, attorney Gloria Allred has announced a press conference for later today where she says she will appear with a woman who has new claims of sexual misconduct by Roy Moore.

“Dame Of Dish” Liz Smith Passes Away At Age 94

Liz Smith, who became a modern-day Hedda Hopper of celebrity gossip in the 1980s and eventually came out as bisexual, has passed away at the age of 94.

From the New York Times:

Liz Smith, the longtime queen of New York’s tabloid gossip columns, who for more than three decades chronicled little triumphs and trespasses in the soap-opera lives of the rich, the famous and the merely beautiful, died on Sunday at her home in Manhattan. She was 94.

Her friend and literary agent, Joni Evans, confirmed her death.

From hardscrabble nights writing snippets for a Hearst newspaper in the 1950s to golden afternoons at Le Cirque with Sinatra or Hepburn and tête-à-tête dinners with Madonna to gather material for columns that ran six days a week, Ms. Smith captivated millions with her tattletale chitchat and, over time, ascended to fame and wealth that rivaled those of the celebrities she covered.

One of Smith’s biggest scoops was Donald Trump’s divorce from first wife, Ivana, in 1990.

Smith’s income often exceeded over $1 million a year.

LGBT activist and author Michelangelo Signorile, who tussled with Smith in the 90s when she helped wealthy/famous closet cases like Malcolm Forbes stay closeted, posted a classy farewell to Ms. Smith on Facebook:

The legendary celebrity & gossip columnist Liz Smith has died at the age of 94. For those who go way back with me you know I wrote angry columns giving her hell in the late ‘80s, early ‘90s for closeting so many, defending homophobes & for being closeted herself during the most terrible years of the AIDS plague. But she was tough, eventually rose to it, came out as bisexual, did good things. Glad to have seen all that and see her leading a full life and still writing, working, practically up to her death. RIP Liz.

George Takei To Howard Stern: Sometimes You Have To “Persuade” Men Who Are “Skittish” About Sex

George Takei

In the midst of the ongoing allegations of sexual misconduct flying all over, I was surprised as many were to hear George Takei accused of sexual assault from back in the early 80s by former model/actor Scott Brunton.

As I reported last week, Brunton says he passed out after a couple of cocktails at Takei’s apartment after a date in 1981, and when he came to his pants were around his ankles and Takei was trying to remove his underwear.

Takei vehemently denied the entire event. He also says he doesn’t remember knowing Brunton.

But folks have found a recent interview segment with Takei and Howard Stern, and the chat was downright prescient.

In an interview with Stern just last month, Takei and Stern were chatting up the recent Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations when Takei was asked by Stern if he ever “hassled” or grabbed another gay man inappropriately.

Here’s how it went down:

Stern: “You never sexually assaulted anyone…..?”

Takei: (long pause) “Hey, boner” (laughs)

Takei: “Some people are kind of skittish, or maybe, um, uh, afraid, and you’re trying to persuade.”

Stern co-host Robin Quivers: “But you didn’t do this grabbing at work?”

Takei: “It was either in my home. They came to my home.”

Stern: “So what do you mean, there’d be some guy who was hesitating to have sex with you and then you gave’em a gentle squeeze on the balls or something?”

Takei: “More than a gentle…. [laughs] but it didn’t involve power over the other.”

Same-Sex Sparks Fly During SNL Pussy-Cat Skit

Complete cat chaos and total silliness from this skit from night’s SNL that also includes lots of bad pussycat puns:

Barbara DeDrew (Kate McKinnon) and Claudia (Tiffany Haddish) show off the cats available for adoption as part of the Fall Cat Giveaway.

Along the way, some romantical passes may be thrown. Watch below.

The cold open had some solid zingers as well taking on the current sex scandal allegations involving Alabama Republican Roy Moore.

The segment features Mikey Day as Moore, Beck Bennett’s Mike Pence, and Kate McKinnon’s now uber-scary Jeff Sessions, who rolls out of a cabinet in the vice president’s residence where he’d been “cooking up nightmares for children.”

Alabama: Democrat Surges To 4 Point Lead In Senate Race

Republican Roy Moore

A new poll from JMC Analytics shows the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama has surged past Republican Roy Moore in the aftermath of explosive allegations that Moore may have inappropriately touched a 14-year-old girl when he was 32.

The poll shows Democrat Doug Jones now getting 46% support as Moore only received 42%.

When you dive into the details it’s notable that Independent votes have shifted two points away from Moore.

When asked if the allegations of sexual misconduct is affecting their decision, 38% said the allegations make them less likely to vote for Moore while 29% say they are more likely to vote for Moore.

Also, in October, Moore led in male voters by 16 points. He’s now tied with Jones for male voters.
