Glenn Beck defends Paula Deen while wearing a boy scout uniform

Glenn Beck defends the First Amendment by saying that the Food Network’s decision not to renew Paula Deen’s contract is un-American and McCarthyism.

Right…

To be honest, who cares what he’s saying…

1. He’s wearing a boy scout uniform, which is kind of creepy in terms of TV wardrobe.

2. He’s wandering around so much the camera man is running around to keep up with where he is. What’s that about.

3. I’m sure Paula Deen would prefer that a nut like Glenn Beck wasn’t going around siding with her.

4. Does anyone care what Glenn Beck thinks?

5. Did I mention the boy scout uniform?

New Jersey: State Assembly passes “ex-gay” therapy ban

The New Jersey Assembly has approved legislation that would outlaw “ex-gay” therapy by a vote of 56-14.

Passage in the state senate is expected on Thursday.

Governor Chris Christie in March said he opposed the practice of conversion therapy, but on Monday his office declined to comment on whether he would sign or veto the bill.

If enacted, the measure would ban therapists or social workers from performing therapy that aims to change the sexual orientation of patients under age 18.

Currently, California is the only U.S. state to outlaw the practice. But, a federal appeals court has put that law’s implementation on hold while it weighs the issue.

The legislation cites American Psychiatric Association studies that found sexual orientation is determined at birth.

Cathy and Catriona – The DOMA Project

Cathy and Catriona met in 2006 while trekking in the Himalayas.

Now mothers to a son from Guatemala and two daughters from Haiti, they were devastated earlier this year when Cathy’s second work visa was denied. All they knew was that they would do anything to keep their family together despite the unjust Defense of Marriage Act that threatens to tear them apart.

Cathy and Catriona married in May 2012.

Their green card application can only be approved if DOMA is struck down by the Supreme Court.
