Funny: Michael Henry Is Ready For A ‘HOT HOMO SUMMER’

Funny guy Michael Henry has dropped the trailer for his upcoming 5-episode web series, “Hot Homo Summer.”

Henry, who has an erring eye and ear for the homo zeitgeist, shares on the YouTube page, “If some people are having a ‘Hot Vax Summer’ or a ‘Hot Girl Summer I deserve to have a ‘Hot Homo Summer!’”

The series is written by Henry who shares co-directing duties with Paul McGovern Jr. McGovern also serves as director of photography and editor.

In the trailer, we get a rush of gay-gay-gay one-liners – “Nooooooo, not a ‘Snickers d**k!” – delivered rapid-fire by a who’s who of actors who’ve appeared in Henry’s previous short films.

Those chronicling homo-life in Henry’s ‘West Hollywood’ include Johnny Sabilly, John Duff, Brandon Rogers, Chad Westbrook, Chris Renfro, Logan Jennings (‘Meatball’), and many more.

As cast member Chris Brandon wrote in the comments, “This is like when the first Avengers movie came out, but it’s Michael Henry characters. Welcome to the MHU.”

Henry says the episodes will be released weekly. No release date announced yet, but as Henry notes at the end of the trailer, “Coming quickly…” #LOL

Chris Meloni On His Swag: ‘Sure, I’m A Zaddy’

Former Law & Order: SVU star Chris Meloni (now in his own franchise spin-off Law & Order: Organized Crime) has long been on our radar not only for his obvious ‘daddydom’ but that bootylicious backside.

And the fun part of it all is Meloni (and his wicked sense of humor) is totally down with us noticing those marvelous melons.

In a new feature with Interview Magazine, Meloni addresses several topics head-on including how those gonzo glutes came to be.

“This is what has happened,” says Meloni. “I’ve been blessed with glutes that have an attractive shape. But I have a trainer, and we’re going through bodybuilding phases, and where everyone kind of caught me was that I’d been preparing for one year in a very high-intensity weight training program that actually focused on legs.”

Our man Meloni added, “So I guess you could argue that the glute-peeping public are now reaping the benefits of all that hard work.”

Yes. Definitely count us as the ‘gluten-peeping public’ and we publicly applaud the hard work. And Meloni’s sassy Twitter responses are the icing on those ‘cakes.’

Interview also queries our hero on if he really is the ‘zaddy’ we see him to be. (The Urban Dictionary defines zaddy as a “handsome, fashionable, sexy man with swag.”

True to form, Meloni is straight-up on the label: “I’ve been called that a lot, and who am I to argue with it? Sure, I’m a zaddy.”

Interview also features Meloni in a retro-style photoshoot capturing some tongue-in-cheek workout pics while he addresses other topics like his ‘favorite tool in the house’ and more.

Michael Henry On Gay Couples Who Look Alike

Have you ever noticed some gay couples look like they are dating twin versions of themselves?

Some folks might use the term ‘doppelbangers’ but funny man Michael Henry has his own term for the scenario.

In his new short film, Henry is out walking in the park with Frank (Michael Fariss) who shares the news that he’s seeing someone new who is nothing like his usual boyfriends.

Declaring he’s totally over the “generic WeHo type,” Frank describes his new boo Hank as “rough around the edges,” “exotic,” and having “extra ‘cushion for the pushin.’”

But when Hank arrives, Henry can’t hide his reaction: ‘Y’all are twin f**ks! Clone twins! Doppelgängers!”

However, the new beaus completely disagree. Hank points out that Frank wears glasses, and Frank points to Hank’s scruff as another defining difference.

Henry’s take is that gays who dates guys who look like themselves are narcissists who just want to have sex with themselves.

Again, Hank & Frank contend they are ‘different.’

“Hank is fat,” whispers Frank. “He’s 185 and I’m 182.”

“And I wear hats,” Hank points out.

Cue the Elaine Stritch quote…

It is true that some gays are attracted to guys who might have similar tastes in clothes or grooming. But sometimes, current fads and fashions could play a part in the ‘twin’ equation, no?

Hump Day Brain Break: ‘John Smith Fitness’

Sometimes, when I need a mid-day brain break, I fire up Instagram for a few minutes to scroll past some InstaHunks for a momentary man-candy distraction.

You know the accounts: woofy workout guys paired with some casual commentary of aspirational uplift. And yes, positivity is a good thing in these wild and crazy times. But, I can admit – every now and then – some of the motivational messaging can seem a bit by-the-book. Still pretty but perhaps a bit ponderous.

A trio of funny guys collaborated on a short video that takes a playful poke at those accounts complete with faux ‘inspirational’ messaging.

“Two roads diverged in a wood…one of them goes to the gym.” “Just recite my wisdoms, and the muscles will follow.” In the clip, New York City actor Tom Berklund plays ‘John Smith’ of John Smith Fitness, who’s ready to pump you up.

“This isn’t a scam – I’m not selling sex, I’m selling motivation. So buy my motivation today.”

“I’ll start your program easy with a daily running regimen of only six miles a day,” says our hunky fitness guru. “Just a little jog to get the blood pumping.”

“Because at John Smith Fitness, it’s inside that counts – because inside the skin is muscle. So, muscles are the insides we’re talking about here.”

The comic short was conceived and directed by Eric Blume, a former writer/director at Comedy Central who’s created tons of commercials and narrative projects.

New York City actor and writer David Morton (Upright Citizens Brigade) penned the script, and the buff Berklund is an experienced Broadway actor (Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, The Addams Family).

The creative team offers a cheeky disclaimer that “one of the three of them went to the gym extensively to make this little project happen.” Wonder which one…?

Funny: “Bad Boy’s Big Break”

Does a 'Bad Boy' get his big porn break? In the latest installment of the Bad Boy web series, one of the ‘Bad Boys’ is about to get his big break in porn. Or is he? The series follows “Scott” (played by series creator Artie O’Daly), a mild-mannered gay writer in Los Angeles whose life is turned upside down by wild and wacky characters who somehow wander in and out of his home at will. In this episode, Scott finds he can’t concentrate on his latest screenplay as “BJ”  (Braden Davis) continually judges and critiques from over his shoulder. Scott heads out to find some peace and quiet as a mysterious director of adult films (Alina Bock) appears intent on casting “BJ” in an upcoming “weiner picture.” At the same time, Hollywood agent “Roderick” (Paul Riley Fox) drops by unannounced with the news that he really wants to sell a screenplay by “BJ” and make him famous.

Actually, “Roderick” is just interested in having sex with “BJ” again (Hollywood, don’t you know) although “BJ” doesn’t seem to remember the first sexual encounter:

“We met a couple of weeks ago when you gave me a lap dance in my office.” “You have to be more specific.” “We had sex and then you ghosted me.” “Like that narrows it down?”

Along the way, a sub-plot about a possible murder in a wood-chipper rears its head and there’s a mysterious stash of air fresheners. If it all sounds like it doesn’t make any sense, that’s because it doesn’t. O’Daly’s absurdist comedy storytelling ricochets from topic to topic with “Scott” trying to survive the verbal chaos. The sharp, rapid-fire dialogue and eccentric characters add up to a brief yet worthy escape from the madcap world we’re living in today. That Time When Gamers Discovered The Other ‘Manhunt’

Gamers and gays found themselves at a Twitter intersection this afternoon when “Manhunt” began trending and folks got way excited. As gays know, Manhunt is the OG gay dating network founded back in 2001. Before we had smart phones and apps to swipe left on like Scruff and Grindr, Manhunt was the online destination of choice for guys looking for a “date.” The Twitter account for Manhunt even jokes in its bio about the company’s longevity writing, “Yes, we’re still here.” But on the other side of the social spectrum, “Manhunt” means a whole different thing to gamers. Part of the Minecraft series, ‘Minecraft Manhunt’ was created by a Minecraft YouTuber named Dream. The Urban Dictionary files this description: “The basic idea of Minecraft Manhunt is that Dream is trying to beat the Ender Dragon while his friend/s try to stop him, and they have a compass they can use to track him down.” Not being a gamer, I’m not really sharp on what that means, but it’s apparently really popular. Manhunt was also a horror-based video game launched in the 2000s. Gamers chatting on the idea of a reboot is apparently what actually got the word trending on Twitter.

BUT – when the term “Manhunt” began trending, true-blue gamer hearts began to flutter…until they discovered the ‘other’ Manhunt.

Can A ‘Bad Boy’ Make Right What Once Went Wrong?

In this latest installment of Artie O’Daly’s wacky Bad Boys web series, Scott (played by O’Daly) considers alternate realities after his evening is ruined by some bad choices.

It seems Scott’s hottie maybe-boyfriend Brian (Doug Rogers) broke things off some time ago worried that some hanky-panky might be in the making with ‘Bad Boys’ Jim (Drew Canan) and James (Alex Dyon).

Ok, there was a shower three-way with the Bad Boys, but Scott kept his underwear on, so it doesn’t really count, right?

The wet and wild three-way was one of those ‘bad choices’ Scott is now reconsidering.

Scott texts Brian to try and patch things up but Jim criticizes the overly long Harry Potter length of his ‘heart-felt’ message. There’s also spilled wine, an off-her-rocker FBI agent (Alina Bock), and the possibility of a four-way dashed.

But Jim insists Scott’s life would be smoother if he took Jim’s advice more often.

In that re-imagined universe, Jim is a dapper relationship expert who’s to-the-point text message to Brian inspires him to break the international speed record for a booty call showing up in a dazzling disco-tastic gold sequined shirt.

That crazed FBI agent might (or might not) be foiled again, some tasty buns are served, and a leather harness makes an appearance.

Will things work out for Daddy Scott and Brian? We don’t want to spoil the ending but we definitely want to see more of the Bri-man. #woof

If that all sounds wild, that’s because it is. The absurdist comedy never stops as O’Daly’s dialogue practically bounces off the walls making for a perfect mid-day brain break.
