Some news items I thought worth your time: • Pink News: Even though out pop superstar Billie Eilish said she would never talk about her sexuality “ever again” a couple of months ago, she does share in her annual Vanity Fair interview that she has had ‘a lot of good sex’ after coming out as queer. • Kenneth-in-the-212: Check out the latest in LGBTQ publications this week including Attitude Magazine featuring “White Lotus” star Lukas Gage.
• Gay City News: Rick Welts, who became the first out gay executive in the NBA in 2011, thought he was retiring in 2021. But he’s now been named the CEO of the Dallas Mavericks. • Playbill: While the Broadway musical Suffs is set to close on January 5, 2025, the suffragist musical – set in the years leading up to the 19th amendment’s ratification – will be filmed for PBS’s Great Performances lineup.
• LGBTQ Nation: A former California police officer has agreed to plead guilty to assaulting a trans man (sitting on top of the victim while repeatedly punching the victim in the head) for flipping him off. The former cop faces 10 years in prison. • Coming Soon: First official teaser trailer for the upcoming Superman directed by James Gunn, starring David Corenswet (Hollywood, Twisters).
