• CBS News: Consumer sentiment plunged 11% this month to a preliminary reading of 50.8, the second-lowest reading on records going back to 1952. The decline was unanimous across age, income, education, geographic region and political affiliation. • Newsweek: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) could be facing an investigation into insider trading having purchased a number of stocks in the days leading up to Trump’s 90-day pause on tariffs. • Broadway World: The new musical SMASH, inspired by the hit NBC television series, opened on Broadway this week taking audiences inside the backstage pandemonium behind the scenes of Bombshell, a musical about Marilyn Monroe.
