The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the U.S. economy added just 50,000 jobs in December (less than expected).

• New York Times: The victim of today’s ICE shooting in Minneapolis has been identified as Renee Nicole Good, remembered as a compassionate, giving person. A video circulating on X appears to show her distraught partner sitting in the snow in Minneapolis sobbing, “They killed my wife. A 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis was shot and killed during an ICE operation Wednesday. The woman was reportedly shot in the head and declared dead at a hospital.
