UPDATE: A 14-year-old student has been charged with murder after allegedly killing four people (two teachers, two students) and injuring nine others in a shooting Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Axios reports Georgia Bureau of Investigations Director Chris Hosey identified the shooter as Colt Gray, and said he will be tried as an adult. Report: How Closely ARE Our Phones Listening?
Our gardeners showed up yesterday morning, which was a big surprise to us since they always come on Tuesdays. Not only was it a Monday, but it was Labor Day! We leave the back door open a lot of the time so the dogs can go in and out, and I suddenly realized the barking I heard from them was more intense than just ‘barking at the neighbors.’ I walked out to the backyard and there was the gardener on the side of the house with his lawnmower looking at the dogs, waiting for them to get tired of barking or walk away (which wasn’t going to happen). I herded the dogs into the house and started talking to Michael about the barking and how I could tell it was different due to the stress in their voices. Here’s why I write this: ten minutes later, every ad on my social media was about how to stop your dogs from barking. Which brings me to to this very timely article from Futurism.
