Air Force veteran and lawyer Greg Hach has announced he will run for Congress in New York’s 3rd Congressional District, challenging serial liar Rep. George Santos (R-NY).
In his announcement on Facebook, Hach didn’t hold back in his criticism of Santos calling him “a crook and a liar.”
“I am running for Congress because the honorable third district voters were conned by a crook and serial liar,” he wrote. “I am running to restore integrity to an office that’s been corroded by fraud.”
From News3LasVegas:
Hach, a lawyer, founded a law firm in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks which represented victims of the tragedy without charge. He enters the race amidst several other challengers hoping to unseat the scandal-ridden Santos, who already launched his reelection campaign.
In July, several House Democrats pushed to censure the freshman congressman after he was accused of a string of offenses including wire fraud, making false statements, and stealing public funds. At least six Republicans agreed to support the measure if it came to a vote.
