More from the New York Daily News:
Witnesses aboard the flight said Demarre removed the cover over the emergency exit handle and “pulled on the handle with his full body weight.”
A flight attendant stopped him and ordered him to the back of the plane, where he was restrained.
According to the affidavit, Demarre said he tried to open the emergency exit door “so other passengers would video him, thereby giving him the opportunity to share his thoughts on COVID-19 vaccines.”
After appearing in court on Monday, Demarre was ordered to remain in detention until his next court appearance. In September 2021, Delta asked other airlines to share their ‘no-fly’ lists to protect passengers and crew members. Eight Republican senators recently sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland opposing a national ‘no-fly’ list comprised of unruly passengers because “the vast majority of reports of unruly passengers have been related to the mandated use of face masks amid the pandemic.”
Republicans are objectively pro-abusive airline passengers and yet somehow Democrats can’t figure out how to fight a culture war. https://t.co/rleYtXdRv7

This is why we need a no-fly list for anyone who ever disrupts a flight. Keep these fools off of planes.
