Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Kimberly Guilfoyle, former fiancé of Donald Trump Jr., allegedly pressed Trump ally Eric Deters to pay her $100,000 American Express balance without leaving a paper trail prior to her confirmation hearings to become U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
“Honey please I need you to get this done for me today,” she wrote in one text message obtained by the Journal. The message was sent on July 3, 2025 — just days before her hearing.
She reportedly sent Deters instructions to wire $100,000 directly to her American Express account, suggesting the payment would not leave a paper trail: “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express. Please.”
In exchange, she reportedly promised to help him reach senior administration officials.
NEW
An incredible, but not surprising, story in the Wall Street Journal about Kimberly Guilfoyle, US Ambassador to Greece.
Just six days before her Senate confirmation hearing to become ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle urgently pressured a Trump donor to pay $100,000 directly to her American Express account, telling him, “It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” messages obtained by the Wall Street Journal reveal.
“Honey please I need you to get this done for me today,” she said to Eric Deters, a Trump supporter who was seeking her help with a dispute over tax deductions and some policy matters he wanted pursued.
Deters said Guilfoyle promised him that if he came up with the $100,000 to pay her American Express bill, “I will be your Trump ride or die, forever and ever.” He said she ultimately delivered nothing.
Deters had paid Guilfoyle $300,000 over several years for speaking appearances.
Guilfoyle boasted to Deters about her extraordinary access to the Trump administration: “Every secretary of you know defense, transportation, treasury commerce IRS commissioner everyone gets right back to me.”
Guilfoyle also specifically invoked FBI Director Kash Patel, misspelling his first name as “cash Patel.” An FBI spokesman said she had not lobbied Patel.
As her confirmation hearing approached, Guilfoyle asked Deters to prepare a letter establishing that he owed her two $50,000 payments for consulting services. Deters said she was concerned about both the legality and appearances of the arrangement.
Guilfoyle was privately telling friends she was broke while preparing to become ambassador, despite disclosing substantial assets and income.

Today, Eric Deters spoke at length with MS NOW confirming the exchange of text messages and stated plainly, “Kimberly Guilfoyle is a grifter.”
Partial transcript via JoeMyGod:
MS NOW: “Let me get to the rub on this, and maybe let’s start from the beginning here so people get an understanding of this. On July 3rd of 2025, Kimberly Guilfoyle wrote to you on Signal: ‘I have been officially announced to be the nominee to be the next ambassador to Greece, which she now is. Honey, please, I need you to get this done for me today’ with a prayer hand emoji.’ In your view, was this a quid pro quo?”
ERIC DETERS: “Well, it absolutely was a quid pro quo, because up to that point, I had told her I would give her a million dollars when the case is settled if she helped me expose Medical Protective and help me on the Durrani litigation.
But she ambushed me out of the blue with this $200,000 American Express offer. And she offered me to be her ride-or-die forever if I did this. To be very candid, I did not do it, but the reason why I did not do it is I didn’t have that money at the time.
Kimberly Guilfoyle is a grifter! Kimberly Guilfoyle, I have no doubt, has done this to more than me. She’s doing it right now in Greece.
I know Corey Lewandowski did this stuff. I know Kristi Noem did this stuff. I have no personal knowledge of anybody else in the Trump administration being involved with this stuff, but I have no doubts that Kimberly Guilfoyle has done it to others besides me.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio refused to comment on the allegations today while in Greece.
Asked about WSJ reporting on Kimberly Guilfoyle—which includes her texts—Rubio turns his fire on the press: “I’m not playing this game with you.”
“I don’t even know if it’s true or not true.”
“You guys somehow walk around thinking that because some source told you something and you reported it, it’s the gospel. It’s not the gospel. It’s not the gospel for me.”
