• Billboard: Dolly Parton stars in “9 to 5”-themed coffee commercial filmed a month before her passing. The Cup of Ambition coffee line supports Parton’s Imagination Library.
• Queerty: It’s been a challenging year, but Grammy Award winner Lil Nas X is set to return with new single “World’s Greatest” out Oct. 1.
• Pink News: Ana Brnabić has become the first out gay president of a Balkan country after becoming acting President of Serbia on September 28. In 2017, she became the first woman and first out lesbian to become Prime Minister of Serbia.
• New Music Video: Out pop artist Grant Knoche bares all in his new video “Stripped.” From his 2025 breakout album Good Luck Getting Over Me.
• LGBTQ Nation: Police may have discovered a possible motive in the August 31 gay bar double murder/suicide in Tucson. A search warrant revealed that police found a note from the shooter indicating that he targeted the LGBTQ community, which he blamed “for recent health problems.”
• JoeMyGod: Donald Trump recently declared that artificial intelligence (AI) should be called “super intelligence” (SI). In addition to his leaning into superlatives, it turns out there may have been a grifting aspect to it.
There’s been a surge in registrations for Slovenian internet domains (more than 200,000, compared with around 3,500 in the previous month) whose “.si” suffix matches his preferred abbreviation. Some believe that MAGA insiders were tipped off in advance about Trump’s demand to change the name.
