• New York Times: The Trump administration accused a Colorado school district of having 61 “biological males” playing on girls teams. The real number was 0. Team Trump had confused male mascots and team managers for athletes.
• Variety: Movies are definitely back. This summer’s box office season has become the highest-grossing of all time. Domestic ticket sales from May 1 through Labor Day on Sept. 7 stand at $4.76 billion surpassing the long-held record set in 2013 with $4.755 billion.

• Axios: Democrats have been running roughly 10 points ahead of their 2024 presidential performance in special elections this year. A swing of that magnitude would produce a comfortable 230-205 Democratic majority in the House.
• Truth Social: Trump posted a map depicting the U.S. conquering the entirety of North America. He can’t even conquer the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, so there’s that.
