Some news stories I thought worth your time:
• Boy Culture: Florida State Rep. Fabian Basabe (above) has been found liable for sexually harassing 2 staffers and committed battery against both. Basabe was ordered by the jury to pay the young men $450,000 for their pain and suffering. And yet, he has not resigned and is running for re-election.
• Semafor: Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) threatened to block Trump’s nominees for ambassadorships unless the White House provides proof that it has distributed approved funds for the President’s Emergency Plan For Aids Relief (PEPFAR), a federal program to reduce HIV transmissions worldwide that has saved an estimated 26 million lives since its launch in 2003.

• Erin in the Morning: In a landmark two-year review, the Health Council of the Netherlands recommends trans youth care, calling for expanding treatment.
• LGBTQ Nation: Martin O’Donnell, a Trump-endorsed GOP candidate running for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional seat, raged against marriage equality while calling LGBTQ+ people an “existential threat” in a recent podcast interview.

• Washington Post: 1.5 million children lost food aid since last July, according to new analysis. Nationwide, an estimated 4 million people have been kicked off SNAP since the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill.
• New York Times: Taking a look at A.I.- generated “wellness influencers” designed to sell health supplements on social media. The Times reviewed hundreds of these ads that are helping a loosely regulated industry target American consumers and profit off of disinformation about their health.
I know tons of these fill my social media feeds. Every “influencer” in the video at the link is A.I. and you can’t tell.
