New Music From DJ Bill Bennett + Bad News For PEPFAR + More

Some news items for you as we head into the week.

New Music: DJ Bill Bennett (above) hit #1 on iTunes Pre-Orders chart over the weekend with DILF Act 3, the final installment of his DILF trilogy. As I’ve written in the past, I’m so impressed by Bennett’s gorgeous music production as well as his compelling story-telling based on his own life experiences.

His new music video, “I’m Not That Man Anymore,” movingly chronicles his journey in overcoming an abusive relationship.

LGBTQ Nation: The Trump administration plans to end support from the CDC for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in most countries. Since its launch in 2003, PEPFAR has enjoyed bipartisan support and is estimated to have saved tens of millions of lives by funding HIV prevention and treatment in low-income countries.

Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters: Virulently anti-LGBTQ pastor James Robinson, who worked tirelessly to dehumanize queer people, is dead at the age of 82.

Byline Times: At least 78 January 6 rioters have been arrested on charges unrelated to the violent invasion of the Capitol Building since they were pardoned by Trump. Those would some of the folks apparently eligible for the newly-announced $1.7 billion “compensation fund” for Trump allies.

BroadwayWorld: The winners of the 70th annual Drama Desk Awards were announced last night in NYC. Taking top honors were The Balusters as Outstanding Play and Schmigadoon! for Outstanding Musical. Full list of honorees at the link.

OUT: Folks are not mad at Benson Boone sharing recent selfies tracking the progress of his impressive abs. I love the caption below – “dedicated” wasn’t the first word that came to my mind… 😉
