Trump Scores Most ‘Poor’ Ratings Of Well-Known Presidents In New Survey

A new YouGov survey asked Americans to rate 20 U.S. presidents on a scale from outstanding to poor. Half of Americans rate Donald Trump as “poor,” the most for any of the 20 presidents.

The three presidents rated as “outstanding” or “above average” by the highest shares of Americans among the 20 in the poll are Abraham Lincoln (74%), John F. Kennedy (66%), and George Washington (65%).

On the other end of the spectrum, received the worst ratings with 54% scoring Donald Trump’s presidency as “poor” (48%) or “below average” (6%).

Just 35% ranked Trump as “outstanding” or “above average.” Another 9% placed him in the “average” category while 2% were unsure.

Trump’s approval rating has continued downward since he returned to the White House. A Pew Research Center poll released late last month shows that his approval is down at 37%.
