New Music: Jim Verraros Wants You To Be A ‘Good Boy’

Out American Idol alum Jim Verraros drops his new steamy music video today and his message is clear: he wants you to be a “Good Boy.”

Debuted exclusively with Out, the video shows a suited Verraros being cruised (and cruising) from the subway to the workplace. Lights flicker, and other dressed-up men suddenly appear dressed-down with exposed chests and leather attire.

Verraros, whose previous albums include Rollercoaster and Do Not Disturbed, made TV and music history in 2002 when he became the first out gay contestant on American Idol season 1.

With “Good Boy” and his new EP Explicit, he stressed the ongoing importance of queer visibility in uncertain times.

 “It’s the first video of my entire career, off of my new EP, Explicit, available on all platforms now,” Verraros tells OUT. “In a time where our voices are being silenced, it’s more important now than ever that we put our art into the world with unwavering confidence and strength. I hope you enjoy it!”
