• LGBTQ Nation: The Spokane School District of Washington State recently paid $60,000 to settle a lawsuit alleging that it had failed to protect a 13-year-old transgender student attacked by another student on school grounds.
• Washington Post: Tickets sales at the Kennedy Center have plummeted since Trump took over the performing arts venue nine months ago.

• The Bulwark: Vice President JD Vance says mistreatment of a dog is “a 100% sign that you’re gonna be a really terrible person.” Ahem – the Trump administration’s Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, famously shot her own dog.
Vance: “If you can actually cause suffering to an innocent animal, you’re probably the kind of person who doesn’t worry about suffering in people… If you mistreat dogs, that’s a 100% sign that you’re gonna be a really terrible person.”
