Whoa – the price of gold is waaaaaay up hitting over $4,000 an ounce for the first time yesterday. Even more surprising, this is happening at the same time U.S. stock markets are also hitting new highs.
So far this year, gold is up 51%.

Gold futures topped a record high of over $4,000 an ounce for the first time yesterday.
That puts the precious metal on track for its best year since 1979 — a year of double-digit inflation, a Mideast oil crisis and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
Gold’s rally comes as President Trump’s trade war shakes the global economy. Today is Day 8 of the government shutdown.
