Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sentenced To 50 Months In Prison

U.S. District Court Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to 50 months in prison today after having been found guilty on two counts of transporting former girlfriends for prostitution.

The judge also fined him $500,000 and ordered five years of supervised release.

Prosecutors had asked an 11-year, three-month prison term for his conviction, while the defense was sought for a 14-month sentence, which would have amounted to time served.

Prior to his sentencing, Combs delivered a dramatic plea to the judge for mercy saying his arrest and trial have permanently changed his perspective on life and vowed never to be violent again.

“I can’t change the past but can change the future,” he told the judge according to NBC News. “I ask your honor for mercy. I beg your honor for mercy, to be a father again, a son again and be a leader in my community again and get the help I desperately need.”

“They need me, they’re scared and I’m scared,” he said. “I have nobody to blame but myself. I will never put my hands on another person again. I have learned my lesson.”

On July 2, a jury acquitted Combs of more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Combs, 55, will be given credit for time served. Since he was taken into custody in September last year, he’ll probably serve a little over 3 years in prison at this point.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs still has to face civil claims that several women have filed against the music mogul.

Even after all the heinous testimony that came out at the trial from many of Combs’s victims, Donald Trump hasn’t ruled out a presidential pardon saying Combs was found “sort of half innocent” and added “I was very friendly with him.”
